摘要: A photoelectric transducer element responsive to ambient light and a combination of ambient and projected light from light emitting apparatus operates with a predetermined cycle by signals from an oscillator. This produces respective output signals which are then stored on first and second storing apparatus. Signals from the storing apparatus provide information necessary for photographing, since the storing operation is synchronized with the oscillating operation.

摘要: In an in-focus state detection device for determining a defocus quantity of an object lens based on a relative positional relationship of a plurality of object images, a contrast of at least one of the object images is detected before the relative positional relationship of the object images is detected, and the relative positional relationship of the object images is detected only when the contrast is larger than a predetermined level so that a determination precision and a response speed of the device are improved.

摘要: In a focus detecting device, an object's image formed on a prescribed image plane of a photo-taking lens is once again formed by a secondary imaging optical system disposed behind the prescribed image plane into two non-superposed object's images based on light flux portions symmetrically split relative to the optical axis of the photo-taking lens; light sensitive elements are respectively disposed in positions where these images of the object are re-imaged by the secondary imaging optical system; and an in-focus state of the photo-taking lens is arranged to be detected by detecting the relative positional relation of these reformed images of the object by means of these light sensitive elements. The focus detecting device includes light splitting means which is arranged in the secondary imaging optical system to split a light flux coming from the exit pupil of the photo-taking lens into a middle part portion and a peripheral portion. With this arrangement, an object's image which becomes necessary as the F-number of the exit pupil of the photo-taking lens varies or an object's image which permits simultaneous use of another detecting method in the device can be obtained by the secondary imaging optical system.

摘要: Disclosed is a device for splitting incident light on an image forming optical system by means of a relief type diffraction lattice and for detecting a portion of the light. The device is constructed with a transparent substrate, on one surface of which there is formed the relief type diffraction lattice which satisfies the condition of N.lambda..perspectiveto.2n.DELTA. (where N is an integer; .lambda. is a wavelength contained in the incident light; n denotes a refractive index of the transparent substrate; and .DELTA. represents a quantity between peak and valley on the surface of the relief type diffraction lattice), a reflective film coated on the lattice surface, a transparent filling layer having the substantially same refractive index as that of the transparent substrate, which perfectly fills the peak and valley (or surface irregularity) of the relief type diffraction lattice, and light detectors. With this construction, the incident light is split by diffraction without undesirably effecting the image-formation, and the thus diffracted light is detected by the light detectors.

摘要: This specification discloses a focusing screen adapted to be mounted in the range finder of a single lens reflex camera. A diffraction lattice is provided in the focus indicating part of the focusing screen. The diffraction lattice comprises a periodical arrangement of optically asymmetric unit structures in which +1st diffracted light and -1st diffracted light assume a color-complementing relation, and in the defocus (out of focus) condition, double images colored in two colors mutually having a color-complementing relation are produced. Further, this diffraction lattice structure is such that the period directions are opposite to each other in the upper and lower half areas of the focus indicating part and therefore, the manner of coloring is inversely symmetric in the upper and lower areas and color split occurs even at the bondary between these areas. These phenomena disappear when the focus condition is brought about.

摘要: This invention relates to a device for splitting a light beam applicable to a light metering apparatus of a single lens reflex camera. Having a diffraction lattice structure built in the condenser lens, this device has both a beam splitting function and a light condensing function. More in detail, this device includes a condenser lens section and a transparent sheet having a diffraction lattice in one portion which are interconnect by having a lower index layer inbetween. One portion of the light that passes through the taking lens of the camera and is incident on said transparent sheet is diffracted by said diffraction lattice, and further the diffracted light is totally reflected at the boundary surface between said lower index layer and transparent sheet, and transmitted to the end surface of the transparent sheet when it is detected.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device for measuring light incident on an image-forming optical system, making use of a plural number of diffraction elements. The plural number of the diffraction elements are respectively provided in the optical path of the image-forming optical system. Further the plural number of the diffraction elements respectively have a certain predetermined area. The plural number of the diffraction elements, seen along the direction of the optical axis of the image-forming optical system, are substantially only partially overlapped with respect to each other. The light beam incident on a diffraction element is divided into a non-diffracted light beam and a diffracted light beam. Thus, the diffracted light beam is directed toward the light detecting means so as to be measured while the non-diffracted light beam advances along the above mentioned optical axis. Consequently, at the part at which the diffraction elements overlap each other, the non-diffracted light beam emerging from the preceeding diffraction element again enters the following diffraction element. This light beam is again divided into a non-diffracted light beam and a diffracted light beam by means of the following diffraction element. The diffracted light beam is measured by a light detecting means in the same way as in the above mentioned case, while the non-diffracted light beam advances along the above mentioned optical axis. Thus, the light beam which passes through the overlapping parts is measured a plural number of times.
