    摘要: A belt-type continuously variable transmission has a pulley side pressure control valve for controlling side pressures of driving and driven pulleys and a controller for controlling the pulley side pressure control valve. The controller has a correcting device for correcting a belt transmission torque calculated by a belt transmission torque calculator when the polarity of the belt transmission torque changes. The correcting device adds to the belt transmission torque for a predetermined time a correction value corresponding to a peak torque of the belt transmission torque arising at times of throttle opening and closing. That is, because the belt transmission torque is corrected in correspondence with the peak torque arising at times of throttle opening and closing, the side pressures of the pulleys are kept at suitable values at all times and slippage of the metal V-belt is prevented.

    摘要: A pulley thrust pressure control apparatus for a belt-type continuously variable transmission having a drive pulley connected with an input member, a driven pulley connected with an output member, a V-belt trained around the drive and driven pulleys, a drive cylinder for varying the pulley width of the drive pulley, and a driven cylinder for varying the pulley width of the driven pulley. The actual transmitting torque transmitted through the V-belt is calculated and a belt transmittable torque is calculated by multiplying the actual transmitting torque by a safety factor which is higher when said actual transmitting torque is negative than when it is positive. A pulley thrust pressure control valve controls the pressures supplied to the drive and driven cylinders so as to obtain the calculated belt transmitting torque.

In an optical disc device that operates with a part of its functions suspended for reduced power consumption, the conventional method is not enough to avoid the collision between the lens and the optical disc. By arranging the lens/disc collision prevention mechanism independently operable, it is possible to prevent the collision between the lens and the disc even during the operation with limited functions.

    摘要: The present invention provides a polishing head 1 comprising a carrier 3, a guide ring 4, a dress ring 5, and a head body 2, wherein the head body 2 is rotatable, and holds the carrier 3, the guide ring 4, and the dress ring 5; the head body 2 has a reversed-bowl shape and has a hollow 8; the dress ring, and at least the guide ring or the carrier are held by being coupled to a lower brim of the head body via a diaphragm 6; the hollow of the head body is sealed. During polishing, the pressure of the sealed hollow is adjusted with a pressure regulating mechanism 9 communicating with the hollow, thereby elastically deforming the diaphragm. As a result, a wafer W can be polished while the wafer and the dress ring are pressed with a given pressing force against a polishing pad 11 on a turn table 12 with rotating the wafer held by the carrier and the dress ring. Consequently, there is provided a polishing head or the like with which excessive polishing in the outer periphery of a semiconductor wafer can be prevented and generation of impressions or scratches in the edge portion of the wafer can be prevented effectively.
