摘要: A disk apparatus includes a disk medium for recording information in a track provided on the disk medium, a rotation circuit for rotating the disk medium, and a head for recording-and-reproducing to-and-from the disk medium. The head further includes a recording head element and a reproducing head element arranged along the track at a given gap from each other. The disk apparatus further includes a driving control circuit for swinging the head to a given position in a radial direction of the disk medium. In the disk apparatus, the disk medium is formatted by changing a track pitch in the radial direction of the disk medium.

摘要: In a magnetic disk apparatus using a composite thin-film magnetic head, high-speed reading and writing operations are achieved without increasing a read error rate and without decreasing a signal-to-noise ratio of read signals. The magnetic head is moved along an arc-like line on the magnetic disk having a track including a plurality of sectors. Each of the sectors has a data area and an identification area displaced from the data area due to movement of the magnetic head relative to the magnetic disk. A position identification sector which is positioned ahead of a target sector is determined based on a predetermined factor representing a period of time. An offset operation of the magnetic head is performed after the position identification sector is detected by a read head so that the magnetic head is moved from a first position to a second position. The read head tracks on the identification area when the head is at the first position and the read head tracks on the data area when the head is at the second position. The predetermined factor is measured since the identification sector was detected. A data reading operation is performed when a measured value of the predetermined factor reaches a predetermined value.

摘要: The pillar garnish is supported by a steel bracket interposed between the pillar garnish and the pillar. The bracket includes a body frame having a substantially channel-like cross section formed by a top surface opposite to the pillar garnish, and two side surfaces extending from two edge lines of the top surface substantially perpendicular to the top surface toward the pillar, the body frame having free ends of the two side surfaces which are welded to the pillar, a claw portion projecting over the body frame and capable of being connected to the pillar garnish, and a plurality of tag portions formed between the side surfaces of the body frame, the tag portion extends from a cut portion formed in the top surface of the body frame in the same direction as the direction of the free end of either side surface of the body frame, and a free end of the tag portion is positioned at a position defined by a distance shorter than the distance from a free end of another side surface of the body frame to the top surface of the body frame, the free end of the tag portion being formed to substantially run parallel to the top surface toward outside.

摘要: A carrier for a developer comprising a core material coated with a coating material consisting essentially of a copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene or hexafluoropropylene is disclosed. The carrier causes neither fog generation in the initial stage of running nor contamination of a developing machine because of its high rate of charge increase and satisfactory resistance to surface contamination, and exhibits excellent adhesion between the core material and the coating material.
