    Abstract: A projection system includes a projection apparatus embodied in a housing secured to a user. The projection apparatus has a processor in data communication with a networking device, at least one input/output device, and computer memory. The computer memory includes a program with machine readable instructions that, when effected by processor, perform the following steps: (a) determine an edge of a surface to be measured; (b) project an initial image onto the surface, the initial image being based on a predetermined set of conditions; (c) determine a substantially perpendicular distance D1 between the projection apparatus and the surface; (d) determine a distance D2 between the projection apparatus and the edge of the surface; (e) calibrate the initial image based on the distances D1 and D2 determined in steps (c) and (d); and (f) project an updated image onto the surface.

    Abstract: A construction component for detecting the application of energy and responding to the energy input wherein a plurality of particles are distributed throughout the component with each particle being configured to sense component state information. The component includes at least one processor configured to receive sensing information from the plurality of particle sensors. The processor configured to receive component state information and to process the information to determine a response to selectively alter attributes of the construction component to affect the behavior of the component. The plurality of particles capable of converting a portion of the energy applied to the construction component into an alternative form of energy, wherein the converted energy is harvested for utilization elsewhere.

    Abstract: A fixture system includes a fixture having an input device, an output device, and a fixture computing system. The fixture computing system includes a database and programming for receiving information from the input device and accessing the database. The programming has instructions that, when activated by the processor, performs the following steps: (a) activate the output device to output a first signal; (b) receive information from the input device; (c) access the database to determine a second signal, wherein the second signal is based on the information from the input device; and (d) activate the output device to output the second signal.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional printer for providing additive material to an object in need thereof includes a non-transitory computer memory; a processor in data communication with the computer memory; a material reservoir; an output device in communication with the material reservoir; a scanning device for obtaining existing contour information about the object; and a contour database accessible by the processor which has contour information about the object. The scanning device is in data communication with the processor. Programming causes: (1) the scanning device to obtain the existing contour information; (2) the computer memory to store the obtained existing contour information; and (3) the processor to create a print file based on data from each of: (a) the obtained existing contour information, and (b) the contour database. Further programming selectively actuates the output device, utilizing the print file, to apply the material from the material reservoir to the object in need thereof.

The device includes a plurality of sensors situated within the housing, a dispenser, and a utensil holder. The device has a memory storing computer-readable instructions, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the instructions to: (a) obtain a wireless input from a mobile device; (b) access data stored in a remote database; (c) obtain a reading from at least one of the plurality of sensors; and (d) cause the dispenser to dispense a substance in response to the reading.
