摘要: An antireflection structure (10) comprises a base (1), and a finely roughened antireflection part (2) formed in a surface of the base (1). The finely roughened antireflection part (2) includes a plurality of projections and depressions defined by the projections. The projections are distributed such that PMAX≦λMIN, where PMAX is the biggest one of distances between tips (2t) of the adjacent projections and λMIN is the shortest one of wavelengths of visible light rays in a vacuum. The sectional area of each projection in a plane parallel to the surface of the base (1) increases continuously from the tip (2t) toward the bottom (2b) of the depression adjacent to the projection. The shape (2Mt) of a tip part (Mt) of each projection in a plane perpendicular to the surface of the base (1) is sharper than the shape (2Mb) of a bottom part (Mb) of each depression in the same plane vertical to the surface of the base (1).

摘要: A gas concentration measuring apparatus is provided which may be employed in measuring the concentration of oxygen contained in exhaust emissions of automotive engines. The apparatus includes a gas sensor equipped with a solid electrolyte body and a pair of electrodes affixed to opposed surfaces of the solid electrolyte body. The apparatus includes an applied voltage controller which works to apply the voltage to the electrodes of the gas sensor to create an electric current as a function of a concentration of gas to be measured. The applied voltage controller is designed to have an enhanced gain of the voltage to the value of the current, as produced by the gas sensor, in a predetermined frequency band, thereby increasing the response of the gas sensor without inducing the oscillation of the voltage to be applied to the gas sensor.

摘要: A stack structure of a fuel cell according to an aspect of the invention includes a plurality of separators of the fuel cell, and a protruding portion which has a tip portion that contacts a reference portion of an assembly jig during assembly of the fuel cell. Since the tip portion of the protruding portion contacts the reference portion of the assembly jig, an adhesive agent does not come out from the tip portion of the protruding portion. Therefore, it is possible to prevent positioning accuracy in stacking cells from being reduced. The reduction of the positioning accuracy is due to adhesion of the spreading adhesive agent to the reference portion of the assembly jig. In addition, it is possible to prevent a short-circuit from occurring. The occurrence of the short-circuit is due to deformation of the separator caused by making the separator contact the reference portion of the assembly jig.

摘要: A gas concentration measuring apparatus is provided which works to measure the concentration of a gas using a gas sensor element. The apparatus also works to determine the impedance of the gas sensor element through an arithmetic circuit for use in controlling the activation or diagnosis of the gas sensor element. The arithmetic circuit uses a command signal from a sensor controller to determine a sampling time at which a change in voltage applied to the sensor element or current flowing therethrough that is a function of the impedance of the sensor element is to be sampled. This permits the impedance to be calculated accurately in a simplified manner without use of a resource such as a timer.

摘要: An A/F signal proportional to an oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine is output upon application of a voltage based on an instruction from a microcomputer. At the time an element resistance is detected, a bias instruction signal Vr from the microcomputer is converted by a D/A converter 21 to an analog signal Vb. An output voltage Vc obtained by removing high frequency components from the analog signal Vb through an LPF 22 is input to a bias control circuit 40. During this time period in which the element resistance is detected, an accurate A/F signal is not output. Therefore, the A/F signal that has theretofore prevailed is held by a Sample/Hold circuit 70 to thereby prevent the use of an erroneous A/F signal. Namely, at the time of detecting the element resistance, the detected value of the oxygen concentration is prevented from becoming abnormal. As a result, an accurate A/F control can be executed using the detected element resistance.
