摘要: A disinfecting and sanitizing article is adapted for use on objects to be disinfected and sanitized, including skin and hands and nonporous hard surfaces. The article is formed from a porous substrate formed from an absorbent fibrous matrix. A disinfecting and sanitizing agent is formed as a liquid composition that is absorbed into the substrate. The composition is formulated from an organic solvent present in a concentration of about 10 percent to 40 percent by weight, a surfactant present in a concentration of about 0.5 percent to 20 percent by weight, one or more pathogen killing agents present in a concentration of about 0.255 percent to 10.5 percent by weight, an emollient present in a concentration of about 0.05 percent to 3.0 percent by weight, and water present in a concentration of about 50.0 percent to 89.9 percent by weight. Application of the article provides an abrasive disinfecting and sanitizing action by a scrubbing action on the surface of the object to disinfected and sanitized.

摘要: A system, computer usable medium and computer-based method for improved data sharing within a cluster of nodes having a database management system. The method defines a virtual replicated table as being useable in a hybrid of a shared-cache and shared-nothing architecture. The virtual replicated table is a physically single table sharable among a plurality of cluster nodes for data read operations and not sharable with other cluster nodes for data modification operations. Default owner node is assigned for each virtual replicated table to ensure the page validity and provide requested pages to the requesting node.

摘要: A method of preparing a plasticised particulate polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composition is provided, comprising: mixing, in a mixer, at a mixer speed and for a time sufficient that the mixture attains a temperature of at least 50° C.: particulate PVA resin in an amount from 80% to 90% by weight of the mixture; and plasticiser in an amount from 10% to 20% by weight of the mixture, wherein at least a portion of the plasticiser is water; monitoring the apparent viscosity of the mixture during mixing and continuing mixing until the apparent viscosity of the mixture has peaked to a maximum and dropped off to a substantially constant level, thereby to obtain a plasticised particulate mixture having a moisture content in the range from 7% to 14%; preferably adding an anti-caking agent in an amount from 0.05% to 0.5% by weight of the plasticised particulate mixture, and continuing mixing until the anti-caking agent is blended to the plasticised particulate mixture; and stopping mixing, and removing the mixture from the mixer, wherein the mixture temperature is kept below 100° C. at all times during mixing. The properties of the plasticised particulate composition are such that it can be processed, by extrusion and blowing, to a film having advantageous characteristics in terms of structure and properties. Accordingly, also provided is a PVA film characterised in that, when viewed using polarising light microscopy, it has a nonuniform texture consisting of distinct short range areas, e.g. 10 to 500 micrometers, each short range area showing anisotropic orientation within its area, each short range area being oriented isotropically.

摘要: An electrolysis water purification system employs a fixed magnitude ionization current source the output of which is effectively pulse-width modulated, by controlled switching of the connection of the current source to the ionizing electrodes. As a consequence, ion production can be controlled as a percentage of water flow time (the period during which the filtration pump is operating) and is evenly distributed throughout the water to be purified. The output of a DC power supply is coupled through a controlled switching circuit to the ionizing electrodes. The controlled switching circuit includes a presettable timer-controlled switch that operates under the control of clock generator and establishes the duty cycle of the supply of ionizing current to the electrodes. The output of the presettable timer-controlled switch is coupled through a timer-controlled polarity reversing circuit to the ionizing electrodes. The polarity reversing circuit serves to periodically reverse the current flow through the ionizing electrodes to ensure uniform wear of the electrodes and automatic cleaning of the deposits off the electrodes.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and system that provide a high performance and extremely scalable triple store within the Resource Description Framework (or alternative data models), with optimized query execution. An embodiment of the invention provides a data storage and analysis system to support scalable monitoring and analysis of business processes along multiple configurable perspectives and levels of granularity. This embodiment analyses data from processes that have been already executed and from ongoing processes, as a continuous flow of information. This embodiment provides defining and monitoring processes based on no initial domain knowledge about the process and such that the process will be built only from the incoming flow of information. Another embodiment of the invention provides a grid infrastructure that allows storage of data across many grid nodes and distribution of the workload, avoiding the bottleneck represented by constantly querying a database.
