    摘要: The present invention provides a method capable of efficiently ionizing hydrophobic peptides in MALDI-IT, MALDI-IT-TOF, and MALDI-FTICR mass spectrometers. A method of measuring a peptide with a mass spectrometer having a MALDI (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization) ion source, using α-cyano-3-hydroxycinnamic acid or 3-hydroxy-4-nitrobenzoic acid as a matrix. Preferably, a peptide derivatized with 2-nitrobenzenesulfenyl chloride is measured with a MALDI-IT, MALDI-IT-TOF, or MALDI-FTICR mass spectrometer. When 3-hydroxy-4-nitrobenzoic acid is used as a matrix, the matrix is preferably used as a mixed matrix in which α-cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid is combined.

    摘要: An active matrix liquid crystal display device includes a pair of substrates that seal a liquid crystal, thin film transistors, display pixel electrodes, m/s (s and m are natural numbers that render m/s a natural number) drain bus lines, s×n gate bus lines, and a controller. The thin film transistors are arranged on one of said substrates to form a matrix of n rows×m columns. The display pixel electrodes are connected to source electrodes of said thin film transistors in one-to-one correspondence. The drain bus lines are connected to drain electrodes of the matrix-type thin film transistors in s-to-1 correspondence. The gate bus lines are connected to gate electrodes of the thin film transistors on each row in one-to-one correspondence. The controller selects n gate bus lines in each of s frames starting from an (s×t(t is an arbitrary positive integer)+1)th frame and ended with an (s×t+s)th frame to perform one-screen display with the s frames. A method of manufacturing this display device, and a method of driving the same are also disclosed.

In this liquid crystal display device: one of an incident side polarizing plate and an exit side polarizing plate has its polarizing axis substantially coincide with the direction of the orientation of a liquid crystal layer; an optical compensating layer is interposed between at least one of transparent substrates and the incident side polarizing plate or the exit side polarizing plate both disposed outside the at least one of the transparent substrates, the optical compensating layer having a refractive index anisotropy with the other polarity other than that in the refractive index of the liquid crystal layer; and, the optical compensating layer has the direction of its anisotropy axis substantially coincide with the direction of the orientation of the liquid crystal layer, provided that the orientation direction includes a predetermined pre-tilt angle.

    摘要: Reaction transmitting means of a brake booster includes a parallel combination of a first and a second reaction transmitting path each transmitting a brake reaction from a reaction disc to a valve plunger. The first reaction transmitting path includes a spring charged to a preset load, and the second reaction transmitting path includes a viscoelastic member as may be formed of rubber. With this construction, a hysteresis is obtained in both a low range of servo ratio during an initial phase of operation of a brake booster and a higher range of servo ratio during a later phase of operation, which occur before and after the spring in the reaction transmitting mechanism is compressed, thus allowing a good brake feeling to be maintained.
