摘要： An image forming apparatus allowing an image carrier included therein to be desirably cleaned is disclosed. A developing device uses a developing liquid consisting of a carrier liquid and toner dispersed therein. A toner image produced by the developing device is transferred to an intermediate image transfer belt. A cleaning roller cleans the surface of the intermediate image transfer belt after the transfer of the toner image to a paper sheet or similar recording medium. A liquid cleaning device feeds a cleaning liquid to the cleaning roller. The developing liquid may be replaced with a dry developer containing at least powdery toner.

摘要： Noise due to the rotation of the air propeller or fan of an air-cushion vehicle is reduced by: 1) reducing the cross-sectional area of the interior of a duct encompassing the fan on the downstream side relative to the upstream side; 2) using wide-chord fan blades of chords increasing from blade root to tip; 3) using a duct and a nose cone on the hub of the fan both having a sound-absoring structure; and 4) mounting the engine and the duct on a common rigid support base and reducing to a minimum the tip clearance between the tips of the fan blades and the duct inner wall surface.

摘要： In an apparatus for cutting a work by an abrasive water jet containing abrasive particles, an abrasive suspension such that abrasive particles with an average size of up to about 100 microns are held in suspension in water is supplied to a jet nozzle assembly in which the abrasive suspension is induced by a high pressure ejected water and directed against the work. The ejected water is passed through an ejected water passageway to which is connected an abrasive water orifice of an abrasive water nozzle tip. The abrasive water orifice has an upstream tapered portion the diameter of which gradually increases toward an upstream opening at which the abrasive water orifice is connected smoothly to the downstream end of the ejected water passageway, whereby the flow of ejected water is streamlined. The abrasive suspension is supplied to, and merges with, the streamlined flow of the ejected water near the junction of the ejected water passageway and the abrasive water orifice, as an outer layer of the streamlined flow, whereby a dual-layer streamlined jet is obtained which enables fine cutting and also reduces wear of the nozzle tip.

摘要： Provided is a content editing apparatus which, while selecting and deselecting a plurality of contents, edits the plurality of contents such that selected contents are appropriately associated with each other so as to be simultaneously reproduced. When the individual shooting information is retrieved, the reproduction of the moving image content is paused, and a user is made select whether or not an other content, which corresponds to each of the retrieved individual shooting information, is to be displayed in link with the moving image content. An other content selected to be displayed in link is acquired, and stored in association with the moving image content, together with information indicating a time for a link display.
