摘要: A data reproduction system, which determines reproduced data based on comparison results of path metrics calculated in accordance with a Viterbi algorithm based on branch metrics calculated from expected values and a sampled value of a readout signal, includes an expected value setting unit for variably setting the expected values used for a calculation of the branch metrics in order to perform a Viterbi detection process without being easily affected by the transient response, offset variation, phase error and nonlinear torsion component of the readout signal. The readout signal is obtained from a recording medium on which data is recorded in accordance with a recording signal of a partial response waveform, the expected values are determined by the partial response waveform, and the sampled value is obtained by sampling the readout signal at a predetermined frequency.

摘要: A clock matching apparatus for a data reproduction system includes a phase error detection unit which detects a phase error of a clock signal based on samples of a readout signal output by a sampler of the data reconstruction system. A phase-locked loop supplies a phase-matched clock signal to the sampler by compensating for the phase error detected by the phase error detection unit. The phase error detection unit includes an edge detection unit which detects a sampling instant for an edge sample among the samples of the readout signal. A difference unit generates a difference in timing phase between the edge sample and a sync level, the sync level being a reference signal level corresponding to a level of the readout signal at the sampling instants thereof and defined based on a partial-response waveform, the difference in the timing phase being output to the phase-locked loop as the detected phase error.

摘要: A cylinder injection type fuel control system for an internal combustion engine ensuring normal ignition and combustion of air fuel mixture while effectively utilizing two-stroke fuel injection includes sensors (1) for generating a variety of information concerning operation state of the internal combustion engine an engine operation state detecting device (11) for detecting an engine operation state (D) on the basis of the various information and fuel injectors (2) disposed so as to inject fuel directly into a combustion chamber of each engine cylinder. An injection mode setting device (12A) selectively sets a fuel injection mode (M) to either a one-stroke fuel injection mode or a two-stroke fuel injection mode in dependence on the engine operation state. An injector driving device (13) drives the fuel injectors (2) in accordance with the selected fuel injection mode. An engine operation state information storing device (14) stores preceding engine operation state information as operation history information of the engine before current operation is started. The injection mode setting device (12A) selectively sets a current fuel injection mode in succession to the engine starting on the basis of the preceding engine operation state information (Dp). When the preceding engine operation state information does not satisfy a predetermined operating condition representing a sufficiently heated state of spark plug within the combustion chamber, the two-stroke fuel injection mode is inhibited from being validated.

摘要: A hydraulic tensioner which has a small number of components and hence can be reduced in size. The hydraulic tensioner includes a plunger 3 slidably fitted in a cylinder disposed in a tensioner body, a reservoir chamber formed in the tensioner body in a lower portion of the cylinder, a check valve permitting flow of an oil in a single direction from the reservoir chamber into the cylinder which is formed as a high pressure chamber, a low pressure chamber formed in the tensioner body exteriorly of the cylinder, an oil passage connecting a bottom of the low pressure chamber to a position between the check valve and the reservoir chamber, and a spring urging the plunger upwardly, wherein the low pressure chamber contains an air layer formed above a surface of the oil held in the lower pressure chamber. The oil passages and check valve enable the oil to flow into the high pressure chamber in a short time and hence efficiently dampen vibrations of the plunger.

摘要: The present invention provides genes and proteins having possibilities to generate plants having tolerance against excessive boron, which can confer a boric acid tolerance to organisms. 5 types of genes that can confer a boric acid tolerance to yeast, such as AtPAB2, AtRBP47c′, AtRPS20B, AtMYB13 and AtMYB68, AtRBP45a, AtRBP45b, AtRBP45c, AtRBP45d, AtRBP47a, AtRBP47b, AtRBP47c, AtUBP1a, AtUBP1b and AtUBP1c which were found by expressing several genes of higher plant Arabidopsis thaliana in yeast that is a organism model of eukaryote. Further, a key to the toxicity mechanism of boric acid exists in the specific inhibition of splicing, and a gene related to enhancement of splicing efficiency also confers a boric acid tolerance.
