Abstract:
The thermohydraulic principle is utilized for generating intensive ultrasonic fields. At least two electrodes which enclose a volume with an electrolyte are driven by a power pulse generator. The electrolyte volume to be heated by the electrical pulse is delimited to such an extent that the electrical power to be applied can be controlled by semiconductor switching elements.

Abstract:
The invention is directed to a housing for a high-pressure cleaning apparatus for accommodating a high-pressure pump, drive motor and other components of the apparatus coacting therewith. The apparatus is equipped with a cleaning lance which is held on the housing. The housing includes a trough-like lower housing half having a base wall adapted to support the pump and the motor and a trough-like upper housing half for closing off and covering the lower housing. The upper housing half has a top wall defining an outer side facing away from said base wall and a carrying handle is disposed on this outer side to enable an operator to carry the apparatus. The carrying handle is configured as a holder for holding the cleaning lance.
Abstract:
A controlled deflection roll system includes a rotative cylindrical shell having an outside adapted to form a nip with a counter roll, a non-rotative shaft extending axially through and radially spaced from the shell's inside and having projecting ends to which force is applied to press the shell against the counter roll. Inside the shell pressure elements press the shell in the same direction, the counter roll providing a reaction, and because the shell does not have its ends journaled on the shaft, the shaft can float inside the shell in dependence on the forces involved. Automatic devices automatically responsive to any radial displacement of the shaft relative to the shell control the force applied to the shaft's ends so as to keep the shaft centered at its ends within the shell, permitting the application of a rotary drive to the shell.
Abstract:
In order to obtain better heat transfer in a coolable roller with an inner supporting cylinder which consists of metal, and on which a tubular roller jacket is firmly disposed, the jacket consisting of plastic and having slots on its inner circumference, the inner cylinder is constructed so that it can be cooled from the inside and a pressure resistant heat conductor which is in heat conducting contact with the walls of the slots is disposed in the slots.
Abstract:
Molded articles of polymerized lactams are prepared by pumping of a catalyst containing partial lactam melt at a temperature of .+-. 1.degree. C. of a temperature in the range of 160.degree. C. to 170.degree. C. and a lower temperature activator containing partial lactam melt at a temperature of .+-. 1.degree. C. of a temperature in the range of 160.degree. C. to 170.degree. C. to which activator addition is delayed relative to catalyst addition, with separate gear pumps to a mixing zone maintained between 170 and 175.degree. C., the pumps connected to the mixing zone by straight feed tubes positioned at an angle of inclination to the horizontal of a maximum of 10.degree., each feed tube having a volume of at least one-third greater than the pump to which it is connected and form the mixing zone into a mold. At least part of the gases released are returned to themixing zone by the tube systems and gear pumps. Apparatus to carry out the method is also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a tap changer for the interruption-free switchover between winding taps of a tap-changing transformer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a novel vacuum interrupter which is particularly suitable for such a tap changer. The tap changer according to the invention is based on the general concept of combining in each case one main contact (V1) and one mechanical switching means (U1), connected in series therewith, of a first load branch and an additional resistive contact (V3) of a second load branch in only a single vacuum interrupter (1) with a common housing (5). The vacuum interrupter (1) according to the invention is furthermore based on the general inventive concept of replacing the functionalities of two required vacuum interrupters in accordance with the prior art and an additional mechanical switching means with a single vacuum interrupter (1) according to the invention by virtue of combining the design of a vacuum interrupter (1) with a plurality of moveable contact systems (I, II, III), which are arranged in separate vacuum interrupter chambers (2, 3, 4) which are sealed with respect to one another.
Abstract:
A suspension consisting of a carrier fluid and particles suspended in the carrier fluid is mixed by a nozzle generating a suspension jet, a feeding device for introducing powder into the suspension jet, a mixing chamber designed to mix the particles with the powder such that the powder adheres to the particles, and a diffuser stabilizing the suspension such that the particles in the suspension form agglomerates due to the powder.
