摘要： The invention relates to a liquid crystal display based on an MVA mode of multi-division alignment in which alignment states of liquid crystal molecules having a negative dielectric anisotropy are made different from each other, and provides a liquid crystal display in which a drop in transmittance is suppressed and response characteristics are improved. The liquid crystal display is constructed so as to include a pair of substrates having a predetermined cell gap and arranged opposite to each other, vertical alignment films formed between the pair of substrates, a liquid crystal layer sealed between the vertical alignment films and having a negative dielectric anisotropy, an alignment regulating structural member arranged on at least one of the pair of substrates, for regulating a total alignment direction of liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer at a time of voltage application, and a cured material provided in the liquid crystal layer and including a liquid crystal skeleton for tilting the liquid crystal molecules.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device includes a drive substrate, a counter substrate, a spacer, a liquid crystal layer, and an aperture pattern. The drive substrate is configured to have arranged pixel electrodes. The counter substrate is configured to have a counter electrode common to a plurality of pixels. The spacer is configured to have a column shape and be interposed between the drive substrate and the counter substrate that are so disposed that the pixel electrodes and the counter electrode face each other. The liquid crystal layer is configured to be provided and sealed between the drive substrate and the counter substrate. The aperture pattern in which the spacer is enclosed is provided in the counter electrode.

The liquid crystal display device includes a pair of substrates disposed to be opposite to each other, a liquid crystal sealed between the pair of substrates and aligned almost vertically to the substrate when a voltage is not applied, a pair of quarter-wave plates respectively disposed at outer sides of the pair of substrates, a pair of polarizing plates respectively disposed at outer sides of the pair of quarter-wave plates, and a pixel area including a reflection area provided with a reflecting plate having an almost flat reflecting surface and for reflecting light incident from one of the substrates, and a transmission area for causing light incident from the other of the substrates to be transmitted toward the one of the pair of substrates.

摘要： In a digital broadcast receiving apparatus for amplifying a received modulated digital signal wave with automatically adjusted gain and demodulating the modulated signal wave to a digital signal, a tuner frequency-converts the modulated digital signal wave to generate a first modulated signal. A first automatic gain control amplification unit controls gain of the tuner to make a level of the first modulated signal at a first predetermined level. An A/D converter converts the first modulated signal into a second modulated signal. A demodulator demodulates the second modulated signal to generate a first demodulated digital signal. A second automatic gain control amplifier generates a second demodulated digital signal where frequency fluctuations included in the digital modulated wave are eliminated.

摘要： The invention relates to a liquid crystal display used in a television receiver or a display section of an electronic apparatus and provides a liquid crystal display having a wide viewing angle and high viewing angle characteristics. The viewing angle characteristics of low gradations are improved by the capacitive coupling HT method. The viewing angle characteristics of high gradations above the intermediate gradation are improved by the driving HT method. A liquid crystal is driven using the capacitive coupling HT method and the driving HT method in combination to combine the effect of improvement of both methods, thereby improving the viewing angle characteristics of a liquid crystal display for a wide range from a low gradation to a high gradation.

A frequency converter frequency-converts the radio frequency signal into an intermediate frequency signal. An IF automatic gain controller controls the gain of the intermediate frequency. A level detector detects a signal level of the gain-controlled intermediate frequency signal, and generates a level signal. An automatic gain control signal generator separately controls, based the level signal, the RF automatic gain controller and the IF automatic gain controller.
