Abstract:
An apparatus cuts rail ends for cabinet doors. Infeed and outfeed carriages are reciprocally movable along spaced apart tracks, and a transverse carriage is reciprocally moveable between the tracks. An arbor between the tracks supports and rotates a cutter. Clamps on the carriages selectively clamp a workpiece, so a workpiece clamped to the infeed carriage is carried past the arbor to cut an end of the workpiece, transferred to the transverse carriage, carried a desired distance towards the outfeed carriage, clamped to the outfeed carriage, carried past the arbor again to cut a second end of the workpiece, and released.
Abstract:
A method as well as a bonding installation for machining of wood workpieces. At least one machining aggregate is provided where in the supplying and discharge region one conveying system each is arranged. Besides machining of the front end region by the machining aggregate also other machinings are carried out on the wood workpiece.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a device (10) for producing and/or processing panels, comprising a transport device for transporting panels along a transport path and a processing device (12) for processing the panels during their movement by the transport device, wherein the transport device comprises two double-belt conveyor means (14, 16) with respectively one upper endless belt (36) and one lower endless belt (42), which respectively have a transport strand side (38, 40) essentially parallel to the transport path and are deflected respectively by deflection devices (24, 26, 28, 30) on the two ends of the transport strand side (38, 40), wherein the upper endless belts (36) touch a panel to be transported on the upper surface side thereof and the lower endless belts (42) touch the panel on the lower surface side thereof, and wherein at least one of the endless belts (36, 42) is guided on its transport strand side (38, 40) by means of a plurality of guide rollers (48) arranged between the deflection devices (24, 26, 28, 30).
Abstract:
A laminate of laminae of uniform rectangular cross-sections or depths and lengths arranged randomly or otherwise in the laminate, such laminae having been derived from a feedstock comprising a population of logs (single or multigrade) wherein the population of laminae comprises all of the laminae that can be derived from the population of logs (exclusive only of laminae or material for laminae that are not of acceptable rectangular cross-section and/or length), and where each cross-section of each lamina represents a maximum of one thirtieth of the log cross-section, or the thickness of each lamina represents a maximum of one fifteenth of the small end log diameter.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a multifunctional unit for machining workpieces preferably consisting at least partially of wood, wood materials, plastics or the like, with a plurality of vertical drill spindles, a plurality of horizontal drill spindles, and at least one fixed saw comprising at least one saw blade with a horizontal axis of rotation. The multifunctional unit according to the invention is characterised in that it is mounted and driven by a mounting means in such a way that it may be rotated about at least one vertical axis of rotation.
Abstract:
Method for manufacturing floor panels, of the type, which comprises a top layer (4) on the basis of synthetic material (5) and which, at least at two opposite sides (7A-8A; 7B-8B), has profiled edge areas (9) that comprise at least coupling parts (10), whereby, for manufacturing the floor panels (1), one starts from a board-shaped material (6), characterized in that the floor panels (1) are formed at least partially by means of a laser treatment (11) of said board-shaped material (6).
Abstract:
A portable pocket cutter employs a shaping assembly and a boring assembly, connected via a frame and coupling assembly, for constructing a pocket joint in a workpiece. The frame is at least partially supported upon a workpiece. The shaping assembly is pivotally connected with the frame and further connects with a first bit for shaping a recess in a planar surface of the workpiece. The boring assembly is also connected with the frame and further connects with a second bit for boring a through aperture into an edge of the workpiece, the edge being generally perpendicular to the planar surface.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing elongate wooden handles for floor mops and the like comprises (a) splitting a green bamboo cane lengthwise and then spreading it into the shape of a sheet, (b) planing both surfaces of the sheet to give it a substantially uniform thickness, (c) cutting the bamboo sheet into an elongate section of selected width, (d) drying that bamboo section, (e) providing an assembly comprising a pair of dowels, at least one elongate core member, said bamboo sections and an adhesive, with the bamboo section wrapped around the dowels and the core member and the adhesive disposed between the bamboo section and the dowels and core member, (f) heating that assembly under pressure so the adhesive will bond the dowels and core member to the surrounding bamboo section and thereby form an elongate pole, and (g) turning the elongate pole to a selected outer diameter.
Abstract:
A miter joint assembly system. The system comprises a generally planar assembly plate. A clamping assembly is attached to the assembly plate. At least one drill guide is detachably coupled to the assembly plate at a predetermined orientation. The clamping assembly is configured to releasably secure a first and a second mitered molding to the assembly plate such that the first and second mitered moldings are oriented generally orthogonally to each other. The drill guide is configured to bore a pocket hole and a pilot hole into the first mitered molding, the pocket and pilot holes receiving a fastener to draw and secure the second mitered molding to the first mitered molding.
Abstract:
The method of forming timbers especially for use as webs in timber roof trusses comprising feeding timbers in a predetermined path with the timbers extending transversely to the direction of feed and, as the timbers are so fed, shaping the ends thereof to rounded form, and apparatus for carrying out said method comprising conveyors for feeding the work, a saw for cutting the timbers to length, and cutters for the end shaping.
