    Abstract: An improvement in run-flat, puncture-proof tire structure, in which the foamed inner tire body is formed of foam structure, which can provide the required softness/hardness for the tire by adjusting the proportion of foam material ingredients, and since the foamed inner tire body can be placed in the tire body hollow portion of the outer tire body, therefore it avoids blowout when a sharp object enters into and punctures the outer tire body, and it reduces the risk factors during motion, and the rim section positioned on the wheel rim body holds the inflatable inner tire body, and the inflatable inner tire body is also pressed up against the foamed inner tire body to absorb the vibration formed on the wheel rim body during motion, and since the problems of repair requirement and sudden blowout are still present after a puncture, it provides safety and stability during motion.

    Abstract: A method for locking a tyre to a wheel rim, includes the steps of mounting a tubular tyre locking element on the wheel rim, which tubular locking member is arranged with a valve, which valve is pushed through a hole in the rim; mounting a tyre on the rim such that the tyre encloses the tubular tyre locking element and a pressure chamber is obtained between the tyre locking element and the tyre; pressurizing the tubular tyre locking element via the valve such that it expands, whereby the beads of the tyre are pressed against the flanges of the wheel rim; inserting a hollow needle through the tyre and into the pressure chamber, which hollow needle is connected to a pressurized air source; pressurising the pressure chamber to desired pressure, removing the hollow needle; and sealing the hole caused by the needle with sealing fluid or plug.

    Abstract: A tire assembly inserted in a conventional pneumatic tire that allows the driven vehicle to be operated in a normal operating condition as well as in both a low tire pressure and a “run flat” condition. The tire embodies a multifunctional tire support device that permits the tire even when punctured to continue to support the vehicle and never allows the tire to go entirely flat. The support device when installed reinforces the tire tread and its side walls by applying internal pressure against them should they collapse when tire is punctured. The invention embodies a means for supporting the tire with the multifunctional device and provides an additional embodiment that uses the same device with a backup redundant inner tube to provide support to the punctured or ruptured tire and permits it to be operated in a run flat condition. The inner tube is located in the assembly at a distance away from the tread so that any puncture of the tread would not also puncture the inner tube. This provides safety and security for the vehicle operating with this assembly installed in a conventional tire and a standard tire wheel rim.
