Abstract:
An apparatus for introducing air and/or sealant into a tire includes a container for the sealant which has an inlet and an outlet and a pressure generating means, wherein the inlet of the container is connectable to the pressure generating means and the outlet of the container (14) is connected or connectable to the inlet end (24) of a hose (20) whose outlet end is connectable to the tire to be filled. A latchable coupling is provided for connecting the pressure generation means to the inlet of the container, with two latching levers (50) provided at the container (14) being designed to release the locking convection of the coupling on a movement of the respective free lever ends toward one another.

Abstract:
A method for locking a tire to a wheel rim, includes the steps of mounting a tubular tire locking element on the wheel rim, which tubular locking member is arranged with a valve, which valve is pushed through a hole in the rim; mounting a tire on the rim such that the tire encloses the tubular tire locking element and a pressure chamber is obtained between the tire locking element and the tire; pressurizing the tubular tire locking element via the valve such that it expands, whereby the beads of the tire are pressed against the flanges of the wheel rim; inserting a hollow needle through the tire and into the pressure chamber, which hollow needle is connected to a pressurized air source; pressurizing the pressure chamber to desired pressure, removing the hollow needle; and sealing the hole caused by the needle with sealing fluid or plug.
Abstract:
A packaging box is provided for individually packaging a container for tire repair fluid. The box has six outer walls that surround the container. A container holder for holding the container upright is provided in any one of the outer walls. The container holderholder is formed by deforming the outer wall. The container is removed from the packaging box, the outer wall of the packaging box is deformed to form the container holder. The container holder is used to hold the container upright. A first hose is connected between a tire valve of a wheel on which a pneumatic tire is mounted and an outlet of the container. A second hose is connected between an inlet of the container and an air compressor. The air compressor is operable to inject the tire repair fluid in the container into the pneumatic tire using the pressure of compressed air.
Abstract:
A tool attachable to a valve stern of a tire grips and removes the valve core from the valve stern prior to introduction of sealant through the tool into the tire. Subsequently, the valve core, which has been stored in the tool, may be reinserted into the valve stem. An external pressurized gas source may then be attached to the tool so that gas may be injected through the tool and the valve stem of the tire into the tire.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for filling air tires, particularly bicycle tires, with a tire sealing fluid through the valves of the tires, wherein the device is configured as an adapter set (1) having a connector (3) for the tire fluid, and having multiple individual parts (10) which can be inserted into one another, and onto the valves by means of inserting, clipping, and/or screwing, which can be varied with respect to one another depending on the valve type, such as Dunlop valves, quick valves (8), or Sclaverand valves (9).
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to temporary mobility kits that repair punctured tires. Some embodiments of the kit include an air compressor; a sealant assembly selectively connected to the pump; a sealant hose in the sealant assembly, configured to connect the air compressor to a tire valve; and a first circuit configured to assess a connection condition.
Abstract:
A centralized device for dealing with the phenomena of loss of pressure and running flat with a vehicle tire, comprising a means external to the mounted assembly, permanently fixed to the vehicle and able to inject or otherwise bring into the internal cavity of the tire at least one active product, also external to the mounted assembly, and able to treat the phenomena of loss of pressure and ultimately running flat.
Abstract:
A tire inflation apparatus and method involves first evacuating a seated pneumatic tire using a vacuum pump and then inflating the tire with a dried inert gas under pressure without allowing any ambient air to reenter the evacuated tire. The apparatus includes a three way valve which is connected by a first conduit to a tank of pressurized inert gas and by a second conduit to the vacuum pump. A hose having a tire valve chuck connected to a distal end is connected at the opposite end from the chuck to the three way valve. The three way valve selectively and alternatively flow connects the hose to the tank of pressurized gas or the vacuum pump through the first or second conduits respectively. The hose is initially connected to the vacuum pump to evacuate the tire, and then to the tank of pressurized gas to inflate the tire. A heater on the first conduit heats the cooled gas exiting the tank to raise the temperature of the pressurized gas delivered to the tire at least to the ambient temperature.
Abstract:
A compact portable tire servicing device comprises a base having ground engaging wheels upon which is supported a tank and a motor driven pump. A supply conduit is connected to the tank and is connectible to a reservoir which is adapted to contain a supply of calcium chloride solution. The liquid calcium chloride solution is pumped from the tank through an outlet conduit and is returned to the tank by return conduit. A control valve is interposed in flow controlling relation with respect to a filler conduit and the return conduit thus permitting the liquid to be supplied to the tire and to be evacuated therefrom. The tank is compartmented and the pump is positioned below the tank and below the connection of the return conduit to the tank so that the system is self-priming and the pump is flooded continuously.
