Abstract: A padlock includes a base shell, a cover shell pivoted to and openably covered on the base shell to define with the base shell a storage chamber therebetween, a shackle movably mounted in the base shell, and two combination lock sets each having a latch engagable with the base shell for locking the cover shell to the base shell, a plurality of numbered wheels extending out of through holes of the cover shell, and a movable plate actuatable by the numbered wheels to move relative to the latch for engaging or disengaging the latch to further have the latch engage or disengage with the base shell so as to lock or unlock the cover shell to the base shell.

Abstract: An improved electronic lock box system is provided for more secure control over the accessibility of a secure compartment in the electronic lock box, which is typically used to store a dwelling key. The new system uses biometric identification sensors to determine if the correct, authorized user is attempting to access the secure compartment of the electronic lock box. In one embodiment, the biometric identification sensor uses thermal scanning to detect a person's fingerprint pattern. This is compared to previously stored (enrollment) biometric identification information/data, and if the “live” (observed) biometric identification information/data sufficiently correlates to the stored enrollment biometric identification information/data, access will be granted.

Abstract: An improved electronic lock system is provided for use with real estate lock boxes where there is the need for many people to access the secured compartment of the lock box in a controlled manner. Each user has an identification card with a non-volatile secure memory (known as a “smart card”), for exchanging data with the lock box, and with a portable computer capable of reading data from the smart card; or a cell phone can be used to gain access information from a central computer. The user first inserts the smart card into the connector attached to the lock box; the lock box reads the user's ID stored in the smart card memory and records this information in lock box memory. The lock box then transfers its access code information and other data to the smart card for further processing. The user then inserts the smart card in a portable card reader to learn the access code, or calls a central computer via a mobile phone system and interacts with the computer to elicit the necessary access code information. The access code is then manually keyed into the lock box keypad by the user to obtain access to the secure compartment. Other modes of operation include an “access token mode” and a “card only mode.”

Abstract: A security locker for securing articles externally on a vehicle. The locker comprises a locker having at least one opening facing the exterior of the vehicle when the locker is fitted thereto, wherein the opening provides access to the interior of the locker. A door is moveable between an open position in which the interior of the locker is accessible through the opening from outside of the vehicle when the locker is fitted thereto, and a closed position in which the locker is inaccessible. The locker includes locking means that, when activated, locks the door in a closed position to prevent unauthorised access to the locker, and when deactivated unlocks the door to enable access to the locker. An input device is operatively connected to the locking means, wherein said locking means is accessible from outside the locked vehicle and it deactivates the locking means when an identifiable code is entered to thereby allow keyless entry to the locker. An interface connects the input device to a security system of the vehicle such that entry of the identifiable code into the input device results in activation or deactivation of the security system.

Abstract: An electronic lock box contains a secure compartment for storing keys to a structure. A linear actuator moves in one direction opening the door to the secure compartment, and moves in the opposite direction releasing a shackle that holds the lock box to the structure. A lock box system uses an encryption algorithm to diversify user PIN data at a central computer, and stores that diversified information on a memory card for later use when the user attempts to access a lock box. The central computer and electronic lock box both keep track of system “epoch time,” and the memory card must be presented to the electronic lock box within a correct epoch time window for the diversified PIN data to be successfully decrypted and compared to the user's PIN data that is entered on a keypad of the electronic lock box.

Abstract: A key safekeeping device for fitting into a hole in a door, wall or corresponding structure includes a first tubular element (10) that carries a first collar (12) on an outer end thereof. A lock cylinder (14) is detachably fitted to the first tubular element. A second tubular element (20) that carries a second collar (22) is intended for lockable engagement with the first tubular element. At least one of the collars is comprised of a separate ring-shaped part (22) that includes an internal aperture for receiving a blocking means (24) in the form of a bent/curved element that is intended to be fitted into a peripheral groove (20c) in the barrel surface of the second tubular element. The blocking element, which lies hidden in the aperture of the ring-shaped part, cannot therefore be removed when the key safekeeping device is fitted and the lock cylinder is mounted in place. Because the collars can be produced as separate parts, the key safekeeping device can be manufactured from tubing of any appropriate material thickness, therewith minimizing the cutting work required in manufacture. This provides gains with respect to tool costs, material consumption, working time and therewith also in respect of the environment.
