    摘要: Firing equipment that can be operated under turbocharge, especially fluidized bed firing equipment for a steam generator. At least two successively arranged air compressors are provided, including a first compressor that is driven by a first turbine, which is disposed on a common shaft with the first compressor, and forms together with the latter a turbocharger, with the energy needed for driving the first compressor being extracted from the flue gas of the turbocharged firing equipment. An air preheater is disposed between the second compressor and the firing equipment, with flue gas being supplied thereto. A second turbine drives the second compressor. At least during turbocharged operation of the firing equipment, the flue gas is conveyed at high temperature first to the second turbine then to the air preheater. An electrical apparatus that is operable at least as a generator is operatively associated with the second compressor and the second turbine.

    摘要: An air supply system for the catalyst regeneration zone of a fluidized catalytic cracking unit also supplies a pressurized air stream to the turbine of an electrical generating plant. The compressor which produces the pressurized air stream is driven by passing the flue gas of the regeneration zone through a power recovery expander. Preferably, the pressurized air stream is first heated by heat exchange against the turbine effluent and then admixed with hot gas from separate turbin-type gas generators prior to being passed into the turbine. This provides a very practical and relatively low-cost cogeneration process.

    摘要: A free-oxygen containing gas is heated while under pressure in a gas fired pressurized heater and then reacted with a hydrocarbonaceous fuel optionally in the presence of a temperature moderator in the reaction zone of a free-flow partial oxidation gas generator. The effluent gas stream from the gas generator is cooled, cleaned and optionally purified to produce a H.sub.2 +CO-containing product gas. One portion of said product gas is reacted in said pressurized heater with air in order to heat the free-oxygen containing gas going into the gas generator. Another portion of said product gas is burned with air in the combustor of a gas turbine. The exhaust gas from the combustor is passed through an expansion turbine to produce mechanical power for compressing the free-oxygen containing gas and air used in the system. The turbine may also drive a turboelectric generator. At least a portion of the flue gas from the fired pressurized heater may be introduced into the combustor or into the expansion turbine.

The air is compressed by compressor apparatus which is powered by waste energy produced by the power plant in the form of a hot pressurized gaseous medium, such as the exhaust gases from the cathode side of the cells.
