    摘要: The ductwork utilized in heating and air conditioning systems is provided with internal crossbars secured to the sides of the duct to prevent inward or outward flexing in response to a pressure differential that could otherwise cause collapse of the sides, either inward or outward, and failure of system. The crossbars are spaced along the run of the duct with the opposed ends of each crossbar received within and secured to corresponding sockets mounted internally on opposite walls of the duct.

    摘要: Disclosed are a double water pipe manufactured via hydroforming and a method of manufacturing the same via hydroforming The method includes (a) inserting an inner pipe into an outer pipe made of steel, the inner pipe being made of a corrosion resistant material selected from among stainless steel, titanium and aluminum, and having a smaller outer diameter than an inner diameter of the outer pipe; (b) placing the outer pipe on a die unit and sealing opposite ends of the die unit with sealing members each having a through-hole connected to a fluid supply unit for supplying a fluid to the inner pipe; (c) supplying the fluid to the inner pipe to perform plastic expansion of the inner pipe and elastic expansion of the outer pipe; and (d) discharging the fluid from the inner pipe to allow frictional coupling between the inner pipe and the outer pipe through elastic restoration of the outer pipe.

    摘要: A small thick-walled composite metal fuel injection tubing for a diesel engine, for example, is manufactured from an outer carbon steel pipe, and an inner stainless steel pipe press-fitted in the large diameter carbon steel pipe by drawing. The press-fitted mating surfaces of the inner and outer pipes are metallurgically and integrally bonded together by heat-treating. As a result, at least an inside wall surface of the inner stainless steel pipe has a diffused layer of at least one kind of metal, or an alloy of two or more kinds ,of metals in combination, selected from the group consisting of Ni, Cr, Mo, Co, Al and Cu.

    摘要: A composite pipeline construction is disclosed wherein a plurality of lengths of steel pipe are connected together, as by welding, to form an elongated tubular shell. One or more layers of a strengthening material, preferably low carbon, martensitic steel strap, are wrapped around the exterior of the shell. Slight clearances or gaps may be provided between the adjacent turns of the wrap of each layer and the wrapping may be done so that the gaps of one layer are covered by the material of the wrap of the next layer. The dimensions and strength of the pipe and wrap are determined so as to satisfy certain design criteria when the pipeline is operating at its normal design pressure. Prior to being placed in operation, the pipeline is subjected to a predetermined prestressing pressure, based upon the aforementioned design criteria, which is sufficient to stress the pipe portions beyond their yield strength but which is insufficient to stress the wrap beyond its yield strength. After depressurization and during subsequent operation at normal pressures, the stresses in the pipe and wrap do not exceed their respective yield strengths.
