摘要： An apparatus is provided for injecting fuel in the form of pieces of various sizes into a burning zone of a kiln having an end inlet. The apparatus includes two rubber tires rotating in opposite directions, at least one motor for rotating the tires, an entrance chute, and an exit chute. The tires rotate about horizontal and parallel axes that are in an inclined plane and spaced such that the outer radial surfaces of the tires are generally adjacent. The entrance chute has a vertical inlet portion for receiving the fuel pieces and downwardly accelerating the fuel pieces by gravity and an outlet portion open adjacent the tires for feeding the fuel pieces between the tires. The tires elastically deform around the various size fuel pieces and project them as the tires rotate. The exit chute has an axis perpendicular to the inclined plane of the tire axes for directing the projected fuel pieces through the kiln end inlet. The apparatus also includes mechanisms for making adjustments to: the inclination of projection; the windage of projection; and the spacing between the tires.

摘要： In a generally known cement kiln plant which incorporates a preheater (1), a calciner (2) having a separation cyclone (3), a rotary kiln (4) and a clinker cooler (5), a decomposition chamber (10) is additionally installed for incineration of waste. Waste is introduced into the chamber at a location (12) and decomposed in the chamber by the heat from calcined raw meal which is conveyed to the chamber from the separation cyclone (3) of the calciner via a splitting gate (13) and a pipeline (14). Gaseous products are conveyed to the calciner (2) and burned there, whereas noncombustible by-products are discharged via an outlet (15) of the chamber (10). By utilizing the heat from preheated or calcined raw meal instead of, for example, hot exhaust gases to incinerate waste, any disturbance of the draught conditions of the cement kiln plant can be avoided, and the overall control of the calcining process is improved.

摘要： A method is described for environmentally sound usage of combustible hazardous waste in an operating rotary kiln. The method is particularly adapted for disposal of solid hazardous wastes, optionally in the form of a blended waste homogenate, packaged in sealable containers. The containers are used as fuel modules and charged into a rotary kiln cylinder where kiln gas temperatures range from about 950.degree. to about 1200.degree. C. to achieve high destruction and removal efficiencies.

摘要： Apparatus, and a method for using the apparatus, for detoxifying material contaminated with at least one volatile organic compound (VOC). The apparatus is provided with a dryer having a heat source to heat the VOC-contaminated material to a first temperature, hot enough to volatilize the VOC, but below the cracking temperature of the VOC. The VOC in the dryer is volatilized to form VOC gases. A kiln heats the VOC gases with excess air to a second temperature, hot enough to destroy the organics in the VOC gases. Simultaneously the kiln is used to treat a kiln processable material to form a desired product. The kiln includes means for feeding the kiln processable material to the heating chamber, means for cooling and recovering the desired product, and means for providing heat for the VOC dryer. The apparatus also includes a conduit for conducting the gases containing VOC from the dryer to the kiln.

摘要： A method and apparatus for incinerating combustion material in the form of combustible waste during cement production is provided. The method includes introducing combustion material in the form of combustible waste into a combustion chamber and burning the combustion material within a first air flow. In addition, a second air flow in a region of a floor of the combustion chamber is included in such a manner that residues or remaining combustion materials which are located on the floor are moved by the second air flow back into the first air flow. Cement raw meal can also be fed into the combustion chamber.

Retrofitted heat-recovery piping (50) receives combustion gas downstream of the afterburner (30) and uses it as a heat source for the industrial envelope. When the industrial load in the main combustion chamber (20) is paint, powder coating, varnish, epoxy, grease and/or oil, the secondary materials burned in the afterburner 30 can be considered alternative fuel, not solid wastes.
