摘要: Methods, systems, and circuits for providing reception and capture of data using a mismatched impedance and an equalizer to save power are disclosed. A data receiver in communication with a transmission line, the data receiver having a termination impedance that is mismatched with respect to a characteristic impedance of the transmission line; and an equalizer in communication with the data receiver, the equalizer configured to receive a channel-transmitted data signal from the data receiver and to re-shape the signal to reduce distortion RC attenuation; wherein the circuit is configured to selectably operate in a first mode wherein the termination impedance is matched with respect to the characteristic impedance of the transmission line and a second mode wherein the termination impedance is mismatched with respect to the characteristic impedance of the transmission line and the signal is not recoverable but for the equalizer.

摘要: A termination resistance adjustment circuit includes a replica circuit having the same characteristics as drive circuits; a current source being able to adjust the amount of a load current of the replica circuit; a voltage generation circuit to generate a plurality of reference voltages respectively corresponding to a plurality of values of the input data with the plurality of bits; a comparison circuit to compare an output voltage of the replica circuit with the reference voltages; and a control circuit to change the amount of the load current by controlling the current source, to calculate values of the output resistances of the replica circuit for each of the plurality of levels, and to adjust the number of use of the drive circuits for each bit of the input data, based on the calculated values of the output resistances for each of the plurality of levels.

摘要: A dual band transmitter for transmitting a data signal in a first frequency or second frequency band. An antenna receives and sends data in one of the first and second frequency bands. An impedance matching network is connected in series with the antenna, and to a first node, and matches the impedance of the antenna to a predetermined value. The impedance matching network includes first and second antenna matching networks. The first antenna matching network is connected in series with the second matching network. In the first frequency band, the first antenna matching network matches the impedance of the antenna to the predetermined value, and in the second frequency band the second antenna matching network matches the impedance of the antenna to the predetermined value without affecting the first antenna matching network's matching in the first frequency band.

摘要: A communication bus (B1, B2, Bp) in a motor vehicle (110) transfers electrical signals between the nodes (N1, N2, N3, Nn, N21, N2m, Np1, Npr) included in the motor vehicle. The communication bus comprises two unshielded signal lines (S1, S2) and a decoupling line (D), which are configured so as to divert undesired electromagnetic radiation deriving both from external systems that are not connected to the communication bus (B1, B2, Bp) and the electrical signals transferred via the unshielded signal lines (S1, S2). The decoupling line (D) is connected for alternating current to a ground potential in one and only one (N3) of the nodes (N1, N2, N3, Nn, N21, N2m, Np1, Npr) included in the communication system.

摘要: A power transfer electrical system includes an electrical signal source that generates a current at an output. An electrical load is electrically connected to the output of the electrical signal source. An output of a controllable voltage source is also electrically connected to the electrical load. The controllable voltage source generates a voltage that is proportional to the current generated by the electrical signal source. An input of a controller is electrically connected to the output of the electrical signal source and an output of the controller is electrically connected to a control input of the controllable voltage source. The controller generates a signal that controls the voltage generated by the controllable voltage source so that a desirable amount of power is transferred from the electrical signal source to the controllable voltage source.

摘要: A distortion compensation system includes a first communication node including a first reception unit including an equalizer configured by a first digital filter unit and a first transmission unit including an emphasis circuit configured by a second digital filter unit, and a second communication node including a second transmission unit transmitting a training pattern before receiving normal data from the first communication node. The equalizer converges a filter constant of the first digital filter unit so that an error of the received training pattern is converged. The first transmission unit performs a distortion compensation using the converged filter constant of the first digital filter unit as at least a part of a filter constant of the second digital filter unit of the emphasis circuit, and then transmits the data.
