Abstract:
The present invention relates to a milk frothing device that is capable of controlling foam volume. In particular, the milk frothing device includes a container with a cover, a stirrer disposed within the container, a motor for rotating the stirrer forward or backward, a set of rotation control elements for controlling the rotation direction of the motor and a base containing a heating element, a circuit board and a temperature sensor, the base attachable to the container. This invention discloses a device with a simple structure. The container does not contain any electric components and may be separated from the base which makes it easy and convenient for use and cleaning. This invention discloses a method for making foam with different volume through changing the rotating direction of the stirrer. Different foam volume may be generated to cater individuals' quest for texture and taste of drinks.
Abstract:
An antimicrobial intervention for the production of ground meats by treating the exterior of the meat trimmings with an antimicrobial agent before grinding. An apparatus for applying an antibacterial agent to meat trimmings includes a closed or essentially closed chamber for limiting the escape of the antimicrobial agent to the environment during antimicrobial treatment of the trimmings, an entrance system for introducing trimmings into the closed chamber while preventing or significantly limiting the antimicrobial agent from escaping into the environment, an application system for applying an effective amount of the antimicrobial agent to exposed surfaces of the trimmings in the closed chamber; and an exit system for removing the treated trimmings from the closed container while preventing or significantly limiting the escape of antimicrobial agent into the environment.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a milk-frothing unit comprising a frothing chamber, a suction portion which leads into the frothing chamber and an outflow which leads out of the frothing chamber, the frothing chamber, the suction portion and the outflow being configured such that milk can be suctioned in via the suction portion and guided into the frothing chamber and can be frothed up therein with gas and/or steam, in particular air and/or water vapour, which is supplied to this frothing chamber and in that the milk-froth mixture resulting from the frothing can be discharged out of the frothing chamber via the outflow, characterised in that the frothing chamber, the suction portion and the outflow are configured and disposed such that the milk to be suctioned in and the discharged milk-froth mixture can be guided in a circulation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a milking device for milking animals, the required vacuum being, for example, generated by generating compressed air using a compressor and passing said compressed air through the system, the compressed air creating a vacuum at all required locations by means of the Venturi system. Because this vacuum differs at the various locations, the reduced pressure can be regulated precisely and adapted as required.

Abstract of the DisclosureApparatuses and methods for ripening and displaying fruit are provided. Methods of making those apparatuses are also disclosed. In one aspect, the apparatuses and methods employ multiple platforms and other features for ripening fruit that increase fruit ripening speed, improve fruit flavor, reduce fruit bruising, and accommodate different ripening rates of different fruit. Other aspects and features disclosed herein further help achieve those goals, and particularly help fruit consumers to ripen store bought fruit.
Abstract:
A filter for absorbing ethylene gas and moisture and emitting carbon dioxide that can be removably coupled to a container. The container can have vent openings to allow air to circulate to prevent excess condensation, or the container can be any type of flexible, semirigid, or rigid produce container such as a plastic bag, a refrigerator or a typical plastic container. The contents of the filter are in vapor contact with the internal environment of the container such that it can absorb ethylene gas and moisture in the container and release carbon dioxide into the container to retard the ripening process of the produce stored in the container.
Abstract:
The present invention is a sunlight reducing cover for intake and exhaust louvers on a food crop storage building. The invention also decreases the likelihood of ice formation or dirt fouling of the building louvers. The invention interfits within a frame, which is installed over the louvers, preferably inside the building. The invention is generally comprised of a free-flowing, air permeable, plurality of passageways. Each passageway having a first and a second end, with the passageways being of offset configuration wherein the first end is offset from the second end to an extent that a linear path does not exist between the two ends. The preferred embodiment of the present invention is generally comprised of a plurality of panels of generally wave form. The invention is manufactured by attaching the top surface of one panel to the bottom surface of another panel in such a fashion that the period of the wave form of each panel is 180.degree. out of phase with any panel juxtaposed with it, creating a plurality of passageways. In the preferred embodiment of this invention, the panels are made out of an opaque, non-reflective and ultraviolet light resistant polyvinyl chloride.
