Abstract: A vehicle safety system that is mounted within a vehicle and operably coupled thereto wherein the safety system inhibits operation of the vehicle during the presence of an accessible cellular phone. The present invention includes a controller that is operably coupled to at least two operation systems of the vehicle such as but not limited to the ignition system and the transmission system. A scanner is present within the passenger cabin and is configured to detect the presence of a cellular phone. A plurality of storage compartments are mounted within the vehicle and have at least one sensor disposed therein. The storage compartments are equipped with locking mechanisms wherein the locking mechanisms are further operably coupled to the controller. The controller must receive a first signal from the sensor and second signal from the locking mechanism to permit operation of the vehicle.

Abstract: A system for controlling a drive operation of a machine having a payload container. A controller is configured to determine a current payload disposed in the payload container based upon a load sensor and determine a number of completed material loading cycles of a work implement. The controller is further configured to determine an estimated number of material loading cycles required to load the payload container based upon a desired payload, the current payload, and the number of completed material loading cycles, and compare the number of completed material loading cycles to the estimated number of material loading cycles. After the number of completed material loading cycles is one or less than the estimated number of material loading cycles, a shifting operation may begin to shift the transmission into the drive gear.

Abstract: A vehicle safety lock assembly includes a vehicle that has an ignition system. An electronic device is provided that has a transceiver. A docking unit is coupled to the vehicle, the docking unit is positioned in an interior of the vehicle and the docking unit is electrically coupled to the ignition system. The docking unit is in wireless communication with the electronic device when the electronic device is brought into the vehicle. Moreover, the docking unit senses when the electronic device is positioned therein for storage. The docking unit turns the ignition system off when the docking unit senses the electronic device is brought into the vehicle and the electronic device is not positioned in the docking unit. In this way the docking unit inhibits the vehicle from is driven when the electronic device is available to be manipulated by the driver. The docking unit turns the ignition system on when the electronic device is brought into the vehicle and the electronic device is positioned in the docking unit.

Abstract: A safety shutdown system is provided for use with a fluid delivery system, such as used on a delivery vehicle. The safety shutdown system includes a plurality of sensors for sensing characteristics of a fluid delivery system. A controller includes a query timer function initiated in response to the sensed characteristic of the fluid delivery system and/or in response to activation of selected vehicle functions. The operator may repeatedly reset the query timer before it times out by pressing a button on a wireless transmitter. If the timer times out, however, the controller automatically shuts off a vehicle engine and/or closes a valve to prevent further fluid delivery.
