    摘要: A tubular lining material for city water pipe lines, which comprises a tubular textile jacket made of warps and a weft woven in a tubular form overlaid with a fluid-impervious coat of a flexible synthetic resin, at least one of the warps and the weft being comprised of threads manufactured by intertwisting filament yarns with spun yarns and/or spun-like textured yarns of synthetic fibers, and the flexible synthetic resin comprising a blend of 60-40% by weight of a polyethylene resin and 40-60% by weight of a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene resin, having a stress-crack resisting property of at least 1000 hours which penetrates the interstices of the fabric structure of the tubular textile jacket. The tubular lining material is remarkably improved in flexibility, heat-resistance, abrasion-resistance, stress-crack resistance and other mechanical strength properties and is harmless to drinking water.

    摘要: A composite reinforced plastic pipe having an integral bell end and method for making the same are disclosed wherein the composite pipe has a resin impregnated surfacing veil liner, a first resin impregnated continuous fiberglass strand reinforced layer coaxial along the inner liner, a sand-resin core layer formed along the cylindrical portion of the pipe but not on the bell end, a resin impregnated surfacing mat formed coaxially along the length of the exposed first fiberglass strand reinforced layer on the bell end and along the core layer, and an outer resin reinforced roving layer formed coaxially along the full length of the pipe, the composite pipe being cured to form a high strength pipe having uniform radial stiffness and improved resistance to water migration.

    摘要: A firefighting hose has an exposed woven textile jacket and an internal elastomer lining which has openings each of which is formed of a set of radiating cracks. In use, water emerging from the openings is absorbed in the jacket to protect the hose from flame and ember damage. The hose is formed by forming and uniting the jacket and lining, and making the openings by penetrating the hose with a reciprocating needle.

    摘要: The invention is concerned particularly with the production of corrugated tubing made from polytetrafluoroethylene or from the copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and 5-35 percent of hexafluoropropylene which can be bent on a short radius to any desired shape and will retain its shape with or without substantial springback. In the preferred embodiment the corrugations extending outward from the tube have side walls of unequal length and in close-packed condition the side walls are inclined to the axis at an acute angle, producing a contour called cross-cut saw toothing or oil canning which will permit one corrugation to fold in under an adjoining corrugation in order to make very close bends. The tubing is then heat set in close-packed condition.
