    Abstract: A connector can include a first shell having at least one first wall made of an electrically conductive material, where the at least one first wall forms a first cavity. The connector can also include an insert disposed within the first cavity. The connector can further include at least one connector pin disposed in and traversing the first shell. The connector can also include an electrically conductive face seal that abuts against a distal end of the insert within the first cavity, where the at least one connector pin traverses at least one first aperture in the electrically conductive face seal. The connector can further include at least one electrically insulating bushing disposed within the at least one first aperture in the electrically conductive face seal, where the at least one electrically insulating bushing is further disposed between the face seal and the at least one connector pin.

    Abstract: A ferrite core integrated waterproof connector includes wires (WH) each having a terminal fittings (20) mounted thereon and a housing (10) with terminal accommodating chambers (12A, 12B) for accommodating the terminal fittings (20). A plate-like rubber plug (30) covers a rear surface (10B) of the housing (10) and has wire insertion holes (31) arranged to correspond to the terminal accommodating chambers (12A, 12B). Lips (32) are formed on the inner peripheral surfaces of the wire insertion holes (31) for closely contacting the outer peripheral surfaces of coatings of the wires (WH). At least one ferrite core (50) is embedded in the one-piece rubber plug (30) and has at least one hollow portion 52 concentric with at least some of the wire insertion holes (31). The ferrite core (50) is radially outward of base parts of the lips (32) of the one-piece rubber plug (30).

    Abstract: A cable-to-board arrangement configured to nondetachably couple wires of a cable to surface-mounted pads on a circuit board. The cable-to-board arrangement includes a first nonconductive housing and a flexible board having thereon a plurality of conductive traces. The conductive traces have first ends and second ends opposite the first ends with the first ends being electrically coupled to the wires. The first nonconductive housing encapsulates a first portion of the flexible board including the first ends. The cable-to-board arrangement further includes a plurality of conductive legs configured for coupling with the surface-mounted pads on the board. The plurality of conductive legs are electrically coupled to the second ends of the conductive traces. There is also included a second nonconductive housing encapsulating a second portion of the flexible board including the second ends of the conductive traces and a portion of the conductive legs. Further, there is included an RF partition disposed proximate said flexible board for reducing RF emission from the circuit board in the direction toward the first non-conductive housing.

    Abstract: The invention is directed to a connector for two flat electrical cables having the same plurality of conduits. The electricity passes from one conduit to the corresponding conduit by way of a dielectric insert having holes therethrough, with electrically conductive means having at least a portion of a hemispherical surface protruding on each side of the dielectric insert. Preferably pressure is applied to the cable/insert/cable sandwich quasi-hydrostatically through a low durometer elastomeric materic material. For EMI/EMP shielding, the low durometer elastomeric material is electrically conductive and encloses completely the connection.

    Abstract: An assembly for terminating a high speed cable with an EMI braided shield, The assembly a shell housing, a crosstalk shield and a constant force spring. The shell housing has a mating end and a conductor receiving end. A recessed portion is provided proximate the conductor receiving end, the recessed portion has an outer diameter. The crosstalk shield is provided in the shell housing. The constant force spring is positioned in the recessed portion of the shell housing. The constant force spring has an opening with an inner diameter which is less than the outer diameter of the recessed portion. The constant force spring is circumferentially wrapped about the EMI braided shield to mechanically and electrically secure the EMI braided shield to the recessed portion of the shell housing.
