Abstract: A display device which can achieve compatibility between the simplicity of the configuration or control of electronic equipment and the maintaining of its high operability includes: a display panel and a touch panel arranged on a front surface side of the display panel as viewed from a viewer. The touch panel includes one transparent substrate and a conductive pattern disposed on the substrate. A plurality of detection areas in each of which a touch position can be detected are provided in the touch panel. A non-detection area in which the touch position is not detected is provided between two detection areas next to each other.

Abstract: A detection device includes: a first electrode extending in a first direction along a detection face; a plurality of second electrodes extending in a second direction along the detection face, and facing the first electrode; a signal output circuit configured to output a signal to the first electrode; a detection circuit that detects capacitance generated between the first electrode and the second electrodes in accordance with the signal; and a force-sensing element configured to detect force applied to the detection face. A plurality of first electrode blocks each including a plurality of the first electrodes are arranged in the second direction. The signal output circuit is switched between a first mode of outputting the signal to the first electrode blocks at different times and a second mode of outputting the signal to some of the first electrodes and starts operation on the second mode when the force is detected.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a substrate including a display region and a peripheral region on a periphery of the display region; detection electrodes arranged in a row-column configuration in the display region; and detection lines coupled to the respective detection electrodes. A shape of the substrate in a plan view includes a curve of a curved portion. The detection electrodes include a first electrode and a second electrode having a shape different from that of the first electrode in a plan view. The second electrode is juxtaposed with the curved portion. The detection lines each include a first line coupled to the first electrode and a second line coupled to the second electrode. The second line passes from the display region across the peripheral region and extends to a position overlapping with the second electrode in a plan view.

Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel to display a frame image by arranging line images; and a light source. One frame period includes sub-frame periods each including a writing period and a display period. The line images are written in units of a predetermined number of lines during the writing period. The line images that are written at a time in units of the predetermined number of lines are the same image. In two continuous sub-frame periods in the one frame period, when a line image to be written during the writing period in a preceding sub-frame period differs from a line image to be written during the writing period in a subsequent sub-frame period, a start position of the writing period in the preceding sub-frame period and a start position of the writing period in the subsequent sub-frame period are shifted by one line from each other.
