One method includes configuring a passenger assist device (PAD) for use at a location for arriving and departing transportation vehicles by storing location data with maps and amenities information for the location; initializing a location tracking module to prevent unauthorized removal of the PAD from the location by a passenger; selecting a language by the passenger for communication with the PAD, when the passenger does not want to use a default language; retrieving connection and passenger transportation vehicle boarding location from where the passenger boards the vehicle; and presenting directions to the boarding location and information regarding amenities along a route to the boarding location.

    摘要: A device for inputting data into an information processing apparatus using a communication cable. The device includes a sensing field including signal lines. The sensing field generates one or more signals when an object is proximate thereto. The device further includes at least one processor connected to the signal lines. The processor receives the signals and generates data based on the signals. The device additionally includes a port in communication with the processor for data output. The port is configured to connect to the cable end communicate the data over the cable to the information processing apparatus. The device includes a light source configured to illuminate keyboard symbols corresponding to areas of the sensing field. The device also includes an exterior surface covering the sensing field and obscuring the keyboard symbols from visibility unless the light source is providing illumination.

One or more voltage surge attractors are mounted on the substrate in electrical connection to the chassis ground.

    摘要: A system and method for permitting a user to submit a payment electronically, which includes a network and an electronic device in communication. The electronic device is operated by the user to submit an electronic payment request. A first server in communication with the network receives the request and in response communicates an encryption key and process to the electronic device. The electronic device encrypts the financial information with the encryption key and process and communicates encrypted financial information to the first server. A second server is in communication with the first server at least some of the time via an Internet connection. If there is Internet connectivity, the first server communicates the encrypted financial information to the second server. If there is no Internet connectivity and the payment amount is less than a predefined amount, the first server communicates to the electronic device that the payment has been accepted.
