Abstract:
Improved CO2 sorbents comprised of a mesoporous silica functionalized with a polyamine are obtained by the in-situ polymerization of azetidine. Also included herein are processes utilizing the improved CO2 sorbents wherein CO2 is chemisorbed onto the polyamine portion of the sorbent and the process is thermally reversible.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for isomerizing paraffins comprising the step of contacting a feed containing paraffins with a catalyst comprising a synthetic porous crystalline material, designated MCM-68, which exhibits a distinctive X-ray diffraction pattern and has a unique crystal structure which contains at least one channel system, in which each channel is defined by a 12-membered ring of tetrahedrally coordinated atoms, and at least two further, independent channel systems, in each of which each channel is defined by a 10-membered ring of tetrahedrally coordinated atoms, wherein the number of unique 10-membered ring channels is twice the number of 12-membered ring channels.
Abstract:
A process is provided for effecting catalytic conversion of an organic compound-containing feedstock to conversion product which comprises contacting said feedstock under catalytic conversion conditions with a catalyst comprising an active form of a functionalized inorganic, porous, non-layered crystalline phase having uniformly sized pores of at least about 13, e.g., at least about 15, Angstrom Units in diameter.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method for preparing crystalline silicates such as zeolites from a forming mixture containing quaternary ammonium-functionalized organosiliconate as a directing agent. The products prepared depend, inter alia, on reaction conditions such as temperature, crystallization time, and pH. More particularly, this invention relates to the use of a quaternary ammonium-functionalized organosiliconate in the preparation of ZSM-5, ZSM-48, ZSM-51 and the ZSM-48 composition thus prepared.
