Abstract: An outdoor dry transformer having a shield made of a high functional fiber. The transformer includes a transformer body having a core and first and second coils wound on the core; a shield surrounding the transformer body, the shield comprising a high functional fiber material which is capable of blocking moisture penetration from outside and has breathability; and a transformer housing having at least one vent in side and bottom faces thereof, the transformer housing configured to house the transformer body and the shield therein. The transformer does not use the insulating oil, thereby preventing any fire induced from the insulating oil. It is also possible to prevent environmental pollution caused by polychlorinated biphenyl as well as save resources.

Abstract: Disclosed are pairs of semiconductor flash memory cells including first and second source lines formed in a semiconductor substrate, semiconductor pillars extending from the substrate between the source lines, first and second charge storage structures formed on opposite side surfaces of the semiconductor pillar and separated by trench isolation structures. The x and y pitch separating adjacent semiconductor pillars in the memory cell array are selected whereby forming the trench isolation structures serves to separate both charge storage structures and conductive structures provided on opposite sides of a semiconductor pillars. Also disclosed are methods of fabricating such structures whereby the density of flash memory devices, particularly NOR flash memory devices, can be improved.

Abstract: A communications system provides a robust and fast inter-base station handoff mechanism, e.g. for networks using Enhanced Base Stations (EBS) equipment. A method for connecting a mobile device to a destination base station in the wireless communications system, may include steps of receiving a mobile device measurement report, transferring context information from a serving base station to possible target base stations, and receiving admission control information from possible target base stations.
