Abstract: A distributed hardware system for unmanned vehicles is provided, comprising a plurality of electronic hardware modules in communication via a vehicle control network. Each module is enabled to: communicate with one another, issue requests for information from a central control module, and transmit data over the network in a common format to perform respective tasks; and at least one of: independently sense one or more of: a respective status of the distributed hardware system and at least one respective environmental parameter; and independently control the respective function of a vehicle. A portion of the modules can enabled to: be removed and inserted from the distributed hardware system as plug and play modules; and determine when at least one of the modules is removed/inserted from the distributed hardware system and transition to a corresponding state. The system also includes a power management system which includes capacity monitoring and hot-swap capabilities.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a full-page video interstitial advertisement. The interstitial advertisement offers advertisers a high quality, full screen video distribution opportunity for a set period of time, such as a 15 second spot, however the duration of the video may vary depending on the content of the video or the configuration of the webpage. A session manager controls the exposure of the interstitial advertisement to the user, to prevent the user from experiencing too frequent interstitial advertisements during a web session. The interstitial advertisement includes a fuse for displaying the playing progress of the video. The use of sound is preferred as part of the interstitial advertisement since it is important for the delivery of the media value of the advertisement. The interstitial advertisement spans the entire web browser screen, overlaid on top of the current web page using a transparency layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically sizing, structuring and operating advertisements that include a variety of content, including interaction prompts and other elements, which enable an engagement-based revenue generation model. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises storing advertising content, serving an XML file from an advertising server to an advertisement manager in order to control a player on a user computer, dynamically generating the advertisement through the player based on directions from the advertisement manager and the stored content, and tracking and reporting a user's engagement with the advertisement in order to determine compensation for the publisher.

Abstract: Various embodiments allow for background calibration of channel-to-channel mismatch errors. In certain embodiments calibration is accomplished by comparing the output of I-ADCs against the output of a reference ADC and correlating the difference to a known function to obtain a correction signal that can be used to correct channel-to-channel mismatch errors.

Abstract: Fusarium infected grain is separated by comparing reflected and transmitted light at two wavelengths, one at which the light is substantially reflected and scattered the same by healthy and infected kernels, the other at which the light is reflected and scattered to a significantly greater degree by infected than healthy kernels. An apparatus having a rotating apertured cylinder, with a low internal vacuum, allows comparison of individual kernels. When comparison indicates that a kernel is infected, a lever dislodges it from the cylinder allowing it to fall into a receptacle for infected kernels. Kernels remaining on the cylinder are scraped off to fall into a receptacle for healthy kernels. Although results vary, to some extent depending on the degree of infection, approximately 90% of healthy kernels and 5% of infected kernels are deemed “healthy”, while approximately 10% of healthy kernels and 95% of infected kernels are deemed “infected,” reducing the level of infected kernels.

Abstract: From a packet stream, a first packet, one or more intervening packets, and a second packet are received in the preceding order. The first packet is inserted into a buffer. The one or more intervening packets are inserted into the buffer after the first packet. At least a portion of the first packet is compared to at least a portion of the second packet to produce a comparison result. The second packet is inserted into the buffer after the one or more intervening packets if the comparison result indicates that the second packet is not a duplicate of the first packet.
