    摘要: A process for producing methanol reduces the emission of carbon dioxide which is responsible for global warming. The process involves the steps of generating steam by the use of nuclear heat of a high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor, decomposing the steam into hydrogen with a steam electrolyzer, and synthesizing methanol from this hydrogen and carbon dioxide obtained from a carbon dioxide source. The process also involves the steps of converting carbon dioxide and hydrogen into carbon monoxide and steam by carrying out a reverse shift reactor, forming hydrogen and carbon monoxide, and reacting the hydrogen and carbon monoxide into methanol in a methanol synthesis column. The process permits the use of an existing methanol production facility. The process may be modified such that the gas composed of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen is mixed with hydrogen gas generated by the steam electrolyzer, and the resulting gas is converted into methanol. Also, a power generating plant is provided in which oxygen-enriched air, generated by the steam electrolyzer using nuclear heat of the high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor, is used as combustion air.

    摘要: An engine controlling system for a vehicle suitable for use with an automobile. An output reduction control amount setting means sets, when an abnormal condition detection signal of a throttle valve controlling means or a throttle valve control amount setting means is developed and a range detection signal indicates a neutral range, a control amount of an engine output reducing means such that the reduction of the output power of an engine may increase as the engine speed represented by an engine speed detection signal increases. On the other hand, when such abnormal condition detection signal is developed and the range detection signal indicates a running range, the output reduction control amount setting means sets a control amount of the engine output reducing means such that the reduction of the output power of the engine may be decreased as the accelerator pedal operation amount represented by an operation amount detection signal increases. With the system, even an abnormal condition takes place in a throttle valve controlling system, the engine can be adjusted within a predetermined range.

    摘要: A knocking suppression apparatus for an internal combustion engine has a noise removal circuit which is disposed between an acceleration sensor, which senses engine knocking, and a phase shifter, which controls the ignition timing of the engine. The noise removal circuit includes a switch which can be opened and closed to prevent signals from being input to the phase shifter, and a window comparator. When the window comparator determines that the output of the acceleration sensor contains high-level noise signals, the noise removal circuit opens the switch for a prescribed period to prevent the high-level noise signals from being input to the phase shifter and influencing the ignition timing.

The controller is intended to improve the starting performance and acceleration feeling of the engine significantly. Upon generation of an acceleration command by a driver during lean burn of the engine at a lean air/fuel ratio, an air/fuel ratio enriching device is operated to set the air/fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture, which is to be fed to the engine, at a level richer than the lean air/fuel ratio while an actually accelerated state continues in the engine from the time point of generation of the acceleration command.
