摘要: A method for producing synthetic gas with which a virtually soot-free synthetic gas having a good composition can be efficiently obtained by a simple device using a liquid biofuel as the starting material, and it is thereby possible to produce a high-quality liquid fuel such as methanol, gasoline or kerosene. Steam and a liquid biofuel produced by pyrolysis of a biomass are fed to the gasification space inside a reactor tube that is not loaded with a catalyst inside the reactor tube and heated to 800 to 1,200° C. from the outside via the reactor tube walls to induce an endothermic reaction and thereby a steam reforming chemical reaction between the steam and the liquid biofuel. By setting the molar ratio of the fed steam and carbon in the liquid biofuel ([H2O]/[C]) at 0.3 or higher, a synthetic gas having a good composition that is virtually free of tar and soot and is primarily H2 and CO is obtained.

摘要: Provided is a catalytic combustion typed gas sensor of detecting a combustible gas having a concentration equal to or more than a predetermined value based on a raised electric resistance. Herein, combustion heat generated when a combustible gas contacts to a catalytic metal (or detection element) heated by passing electric current therethrough raises a temperature and electric resistance of the catalytic metal. The electric current is made to pass through the catalytic metal such that the temperature of the catalytic metal becomes a standby temperature which is calculated by subtracting the raised temperature portion from a desorption temperature. The combustion heat is generated when the combustible gas contacts to the catalytic metal. Note the catalytic metal adsorbs a silicone compound via a silicon (Si) poisoning process and then desorbs the resulting adsorbed silicone compound at the desorption temperature. The desorption temperature is set in the range over 350° C. to 600° C.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an ignition timing controller for a sparing engine. The controller is equipped with a variable swirl forming device for changing over the state of swirling of air, which is flowing into an intake port, in accordance with the operation zone of the engine, so that an optimal control of ignition timing is assured even at the time of malfunction of the variable swirl forming device or during a transition period such as a delay in response by the variable swirl device. The controller is hence equipped additionally with an ignition timing setting device for receiving information on the operation zone of the engine and setting ignition timing information corresponding to the state of swirling on the basis of the information on the operation zone, a swirl detection device for detecting the actual state of operation of the variable swirl forming device, and a swirl ignition timing correction device for permitting further correction of the ignition timing information from ignition timing setting device on the basis of a detection signal from the swirl detecting device.

摘要: In a swash plate type axial piston pump, a swash plate 23 is fixed and supported in a cabinet while being inclined with respect to the center axial line of a rotary shaft 3. A cylinder block 15 having a plurality of cylinders 13 is attached to the rotary shaft 3 so that the cylinder block 15 slides of the rotary shaft 3 in the axial direction thereof and is rotated integrally therewith. Each one end of a plurality of pistons 21 is slidingly engaged with the cylinder 13 and the other end thereof is abutted against the swash plate 23 through a shoe 25. A valve plate 31 having a suction port 33 and a discharge port 35 is disposed so as to be abutted against the inner surface of the cabinet 1 and the bottom the cylinder block 15 so that a suction path 39 and a discharge path 41 in the cabinet 1 are selectively communicated with a pump chamber 14 in each cylinder through the suction port 33 and the discharge port 35. An operating oil is supplied to the sliding portion between the valve plate 31 and the bottom of the cylinder block 15 by a lubrication means. With this arrangement, since the operating oil is positively supplied to the sliding portion being rotated of the swash plate type axial piston pump, the sliding portion is sufficiently lubricated even if the pump is started to thereby prevent the dry state of the pump.

摘要: Provided herein is a process for producing methanol which was developed to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide which is responsible for global warming. The process involves the steps of generating steam by the use of nuclear heat of a high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor, decomposing the steam into hydrogen by means of a steam electrolyzer, and synthesizing methanol from this hydrogen and carbon dioxide obtained from a carbon dioxide source. The process also involves the steps of converting carbon dioxide and hydrogen into carbon monoxide and steam by means of a reverse shift reactor, forming hydrogen and carbon monoxide of almost the same composition as the conventional one, and reacting said hydrogen and carbon monoxide into methanol by means of a methanol synthesis column. The process permits the use of an existing methanol production facility. The process may be modified such that the gasified gas composed of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen is mixed with hydrogen gas generated by the steam electrolyzer, and the resulting mixed gas is converted into methanol. Also, a power generating plant is provided in which oxygen enriched air, generated by the steam electrolyzer using nuclear heat of the high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor, is used as combustion air.
