Abstract:
A fusing-station member, which member can be a compliant fuser roller or a compliant pressure roller for use in a fusing station of an electrostatographic machine, and which member includes a base cushion layer formed on a core member, with the base cushion layer coated by a thin protective gloss control layer. The base cushion layer is a highly crosslinked addition-polymerized polyorganosiloxane material made by thermally curing, below 100° C., a formulation which includes three types of filler particles, namely hollow flexible microballoon particles, strength-enhancing solid particles, and thermal-conductivity-enhancing solid particles.
Abstract:
A roller for use as a fusing roller or a pressure roller or a drying roller in a system for treating printed ink image-bearing substrates and a composition for coating the outside of the roller. The composition is a reaction product of a high molecular weight, reactive cross-linkable poly(dialkylsiloxane), a cross-linked poly(dialkylsiloxane) including a filler and a silane cross-linking agent.
Abstract:
A controlled-modulus fusing station member inclusive of a durable, tough, elastically deformable layer incorporating hollow flexible filler particles. The elastically deformable layer can be a single layer on a substrate, the substrate preferably a core member of a fuser roller or a pressure roller. Alternatively, a protective or gloss control fluoropolymer layer is formed on the elastically deformable layer. The elastically deformable layer is made from a dry formulation inclusive of: a fluoroelastomer powder; microspheres in the form of unexpanded microspheres or expanded microballoons; and solid filler particles including strength-enhancing filler particles and thermal-conductivity-enhancing filler particles. The dry formulation is thermally cured or electron-beam cured.
Abstract:
A thermal printer is adapted to prevent crease formation in successive dye transfer areas of a dye donor web that can cause line artifacts to be printed on a dye receiver during dye transfer from each dye transfer area to the dye receiver in a dye transfer printer.

Abstract:
A roller composition for forming an outer coating on the roller. The composition includes an addition cure polysiloxane component and a high molecular weight reactive polyfunctional poly(alkylsiloxane) component. The coated roller is effective for drying and fusing ink images on a substrate.

Abstract:
An electropolishing method for removing potential device-contaminating particles from a wafer, is disclosed. The method includes immersing the wafer in an electropolishing electrolyte solution and removing defects and particles from the wafer by rotational friction between the wafer and the electrolyte solution in combination with electrolysis. The method is effective in removing particles from via openings of all sizes, including via openings having a width smaller than about 0.2 μm.
Abstract:
A computer input device, capable of operating in a mouse mode and in a touch mode, includes a body, a control unit and a switch. The body includes a first housing, a second housing and a hinge interconnecting the first and second housings. The body is movable between a flat position where the first and second housings are positioned side by side in a line, and an inverted-V position where the first and second housings co-define an included angle. The control unit provides a first input function which enables the input device to operate in the mouse mode and a second input function which enables the input device to operate in the touch mode. The switch is configured to have the control unit perform the first input function when the body is in the flat position and perform the second input function when the body is in the inverted-V position.
Abstract:
A keyboard including a case, a first fan, an air deflector and a keycap module is provided. The case includes a first side and a second side. The first side has an opening, the second side is disposed at a side of the first side and has at least one hole. The first fan is disposed at the second side and located between the first side and the second side. The air deflector is disposed between the first side and the second side of the case and corresponding to the hole of the second side and the opening of the first side. The keycap module is disposed at the opening of the first side.
