An aminopropylaminobleomycin represented by the following formula or a salt thereof, which is minimized in side effects such as pulmonary toxicity:[BX]--NH--(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --A--(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --Bwherein[BX] represents the acyl group of bleomycinic acid whose formula differs from that of bleomycin acid by the removal of the hydroxyl group from the carboxyl group of said acid;A represents a group of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a lower alkyl or benzyl,R.sub.2 is a lower alkyl or benzyl,R is a lower alkylene, andn is 0 or 1; andB represents a group of the formula ##STR2## wherein (i) R.sub.3 is hydrogen and R.sub.4 is(a) benzyl substituted by one or more halogen atoms, provided that the benzyl is substituted by two halogen atoms when R.sub.1 is lower alkyl,(b) benzyl substituted by cyano, two or more alkoxy groups or two or more benzyloxy groups,(c) lower alkyl substituted by cycloalkyl or anthranyl,(d) phenylethyl substituted by one or more halogen atoms, or(e) diphenylethyl; or(ii) both R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are benzyl which may be substituted by one or more(a) benzyloxy groups,(b) ring substituted benzyloxy groups in which the ring substituents may be one or more halogen atoms, lower alkoxy groups or benzyloxy groups, or(c) cycloalkylmethoxy groups;and a process for the preparation thereof.

The novel compound represented by the general formula (I) ##STR1## (wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkanoyl group of 1 to 14 carbon atoms, or an arylcarbonyl group), and an acid addition salt thereof [on condition that when R is a hydrogen atom, the hydrochloride exhibits an optical rotation of [.alpha.].sub.D.sup.22 -1.degree. .+-.2.degree. (c, 2 water)] has antitumor activity in experimental animals.

A motor-driven compressor includes a shell, an electric motor, a first conductor electrically connected to an external power source, a second conductor electrically connected to the electric motor, a connector connecting the first conductor and the second conductor and a connector case. The connector case has a first case member, a second case member, a first and a second seal members interposed between the first and the second case members, a hole through which the first conductor is inserted and a third seal member sealing between the first conductor and the connector case. A first main seal of the first seal member and a second main seal of the second seal member cooperate to form a cylindrical seal portion for sealing the second conductor that is inserted through the cylindrical seal portion when the first and the second seal members are joined.

An imaging apparatus includes a signal processing unit that generates moving image data and still image data using image data output from an imaging unit, a moving image coding unit that encodes the moving image data, a still image coding unit that encodes the still image data, a recording unit that records the coded moving and still image data on a recording medium, a setting unit that sets a data rate of the coded moving image data, and a control unit that controls the moving and still image coding units. The control unit controls the moving image coding unit based on the set data rate to adjust the data rate of the moving image data and the still image coding unit based on the set data rate and a recording data rate of the recording medium to adjust an amount of the still image data.

The sidewall includes a plurality of side panels, wherein each includes opposing first and second side edges and opposing first and second end edges. The cavity is adapted to store the prize associated with the crane claw arcade game. The first side aperture is defined by a first side panel of the plurality of side panels, and the optional second side aperture is defined by a second side panel of the plurality of side panels. The first and second side apertures are adapted to receive a finger of a claw of the crane claw arcade game to facilitate retrieval of the package from a housing of the arcade game.

The present application relates to a method for producing an optically active α-amino acid derivative, comprising steps of reacting an α-haloester derivative represented by the general formula (1): of which alcohol part of the ester group is an optically active alcohol derivative, with an amine compound; then deprotecting the obtained compound; further carrying out an ester exchange reaction. According to the present invention method, it is possible to easily produce an optically active α-amino acid ester derivative which is useful as an intermediate for drugs with high selectivity.

A motor-driven compressor includes a compression mechanism, an electric motor, a compressor housing, a conductive member, a terminal base, an insulating member, a connection terminal, a wire assembly, a terminal housing, first and second holes formed through the terminal housing and first and second seal members. The conductive member extends from the inside to the outside of the compressor housing and connected electrically to the connection terminal at a terminal connection. The wire assembly has a core wire connecting electrically between the connecting terminal and the electric motor, and an insulator covering the core wire. The terminal housing disposed in the compressor housing covers the terminal connection. The wire assembly has an insulating tube covering the insulator, wherein both ends of the insulating tube are opened for communicating with the inside and the outside of the terminal housing through a clearance formed between the insulating tube and the insulator.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a 2′-hydroxy-protected nucleoside derivative by reacting a ribonucleoside with an acylating reagent in the presence of a metal complex consisting of a copper compound and an optically active ligand. By the method according to the present invention, a 2′-hydroxy-protected ribonucleoside derivative, which is an important intermediate for producing an oligonucleoside, can be easily produced with good regioselectivity from a nucleoside derivative of which 2′,3′-hydroxy groups are not protected.

The present invention has its object to provide a method for producing an optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative which is an intermediate important for production of medicines, agrochemicals, chemical products, and so on. The production method of the present invention comprises: carrying out a hydrogen-transfer reduction of a ketocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof by the reaction of an optically active diamine complex to produce an optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative. According to the present invention, it is possible to safely and efficiently produce an industrially-useful optically active hydroxycarboxylic acid derivative.
