    摘要: A vehicular drive system includes a standby control apparatus which controls a switch to standby control based on a switching line graph that has a standby region that places a differential state switching device in a state just before it starts to apply. This standby region is located between a differential region and a locked region on the switching line graph. Accordingly, when the differential state switching device enters the standby region from the differential region, it is placed in a state just before it starts to apply. As a result, the differential state switching device is quickly able to have the necessary torque capacity when the engine torque is increased, which suppresses a decrease in the durability of the differential state switching device.

A switching clutch C0 or switching brake B0 is provided for placing a shifting mechanism 10 in a continuously variable shifting state and a step-variable shifting state, enabling the vehicle drive apparatus to have combined advantages including a fuel economy improving effect of a transmission, enabled to electrically change a speed ratio, and a high transmitting efficiency of a gear type transmitting device enabled to mechanically transmit drive power. During the occurrence of overlapping phases between operation of switching control mean 50 for switching a shifting state and operation of engine starting and stopping control means 90 for starting or stopping the engine, execution control means 82 enables the operations to be sequentially executed so as to avoid overlapping executions, thereby suppressing the switching shocks.

With the above control, the rotational speed of the engine is prevented from reaching a high rotational speed region.

The control apparatus includes an engine-torque-variation restriction control operable in the continuously-variable shifting state of the differential mechanism, to control an electric path torque, for restricting a variation of the torque to be transmitted to the power transmitting member, irrespective of a variation of the engine torque, so that the engine torque variation to be transmitted to drive wheels is restricted to improve the vehicle drivability.

Since the transmission mechanism 10 is not switched during the shifting control of the automatic transmission portion 20, the input speed of the automatic transmission portion 20 will not change due to the switching control, apart from a change of the input speed as a result of the shifting control, making it possible to prevent the complicated shifting control and reduce the consequent shifting shock.
