Abstract:
A reagent for four-part differentiation of white blood cells is provided. In one embodiment the reagent has an osmolality below 50 mOsm/kg H2O. A method for differentiating white blood cells using the reagent is also provided. The disclosure provides for a rapid lysis of red blood cells and four-part differentiation of white blood cells. The reagent may be simple in components and a surfactant is not necessary, but optional. A wide range of pH values may be suitable for the reagent.

Abstract:
This invention provides a method and a device for measuring and calculating the insulation resistance of a high voltage power management system in a hybrid power vehicle, which are designed to effectively measure the insulation resistance; said method and device for measuring the insulation resistance of a high voltage power management system in a hybrid power vehicle comprising a central process unit circuit, a battery-voltage-balance detection unit and an insulation resistance detection unit. The voltage signal outputted by the battery-voltage-balance detection unit is assessed by the central process unit circuit; the insulation-resistance detection unit is controlled by the central process unit circuit to start up when voltage is slightly out of balance, the signal detected by the insulation resistance detection unit is transmitted to the central process unit circuit, and the signal is transmitted to the battery management system by the central process unit circuit via CAN bus. The present invention not only is capable of measuring the total voltage of the battery with high precision and monitoring the real-time insulation state, but also is capable of effectively measuring the insulation resistance.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for operating an anti-malware network on a cloud computing platform are provided. In one embodiment, the invention relates to a method for distributing files using a cloud for providing computing services, the method including providing, at the cloud, cloud services including a data structure and a virtual machine, obtaining, from the data structure in the cloud, information including at least one location of a file available for distribution, obtaining, at a client computer, the file from the at least one location.
Abstract:
A method of forming patterns on transparent substrates using a pulsed laser is disclosed. Various embodiments include an ultrashort pulsed laser, a substrate that is transparent to the laser wavelength, and a target plate. The laser beam is guided through the transparent substrate and focused on the target surface. The target material is ablated by the laser and is deposited on the opposite substrate surface. A pattern, for example a gray scale image, is formed by scanning the laser beam relative to the target. Variations of the laser beam scan speed and scan line density control the material deposition and change the optical properties of the deposited patterns, creating a visual effect of gray scale. In some embodiments patterns may be formed on a portion of a microelectronic device during a fabrication process. In some embodiments high repetition rate picoseconds and nanosecond sources are configured to produce the patterns.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of producing the sensors for monitoring corrosion of heat exchanger tubes in a thermal power plant. The sensor is made of the tubes taken out from actual heat-exchanger. As a result, the sensor not only has the same material as the actual heat-exchanger tubes, but also has the same surface state where it contacts the working medium. Therefore, a serious technical difficulties have been solved that the sensor made by the prior art can't measure different corrosion states of actual heat-exchanger tubes, that the corrosion rate measured is different from the corrosion rate of actual heat-exchanger tubes, and that the cost of anti-corrosive treatments is high . By use of the sensor made by the present invention, the different corrosion states of actual heat-exchanger tubes can be measured, not only the rate of uniform corrosion of actual heat-exchanger tubes can be measured but also the rate of localized corrosion of the heat-exchanger tubes can be measured. Moreover, the cost of treatment of anti-corrosion can be decreased.
Abstract:
A system, method and computer program product are provided for uninstalling software on a computer. In use, a plurality of software products identified on a computer is displayed. Further, a first user instruction to uninstall at least a portion of at least one of the software products from the computer is received. Such first user instruction is received via an interface. Still yet, the at least a portion of the at least one software product is uninstalled from the computer, in response to the receipt of the first user instruction. Also, a second user instruction may be received to cancel the uninstallation. Thus, the uninstallation may be cancelled, in response to the receipt of the second user instruction.
Abstract:
A system and method update client computers of various end users with software updates for software products installed on the client computers, the software products manufactured by diverse, unrelated software vendors. The system includes a service provider computer system, a number of client computers and software vendor computer systems communicating on a common network. The service provider computer system stores in an update database information about the software updates of the diverse software vendors, identifying the software products for which software updates are available, their location on the network at the various software vendor computer systems, information for identifying in the client computers the software products stored thereon, and information for determining for such products, which have software updates available. Users of the client computers connect to the service provider computer and obtain a current version of portions of the database. The client computer determines that software products stored thereon, and using this information, determines from the database, which products have updates available, based on product name and release information for the installed products. The user selects updates for installation. The selected updates are downloaded from the software vendor computer systems and installed on the client computer. Payment for the software update and the service is mediated by the service provider computer. Authentication of the user ensures only registered users obtain software updates. Authentication of the software updates ensures that the software updates are virus free and uncorrupted. Changes to the client computer during installation are monitored and archived, allowing the updates to be subsequently removed by the user.
Abstract:
A bumper for a vehicle comprises a hollow tubular beam, and has two side rail mounting portions and a front impact portion disposed between and formed continuously with the side rail mounting portions. The front impact portion includes an initial impact region and two additional deforming regions, with the initial impact region being disposed between the additional deforming regions. The initial impact region has top and bottom surfaces that are generally flat and the additional deforming regions each have top and bottom surfaces that are generally convex.
