Abstract:
A system including a fuel-supply system including, an auxiliary-fuel-gas compressor configured to compress a fuel for use by a gas-turbine system, an expander configured to generate power by expanding an oxidant from the gas-turbine system, and a motor/generator configured to function in a motor mode and in a generator mode, wherein the motor/generator drives fuel compression with the auxiliary fuel-gas compressor in the motor mode, and the motor/generator generates power in the generator mode as the expander uses oxidant from the gas-turbine system to drive the motor/generator

A first electrostatic particle removing electrode may be associated with the enclosure to remove particles from a working fluid in conjunction with a second electrostatic particle removing electrode.
Abstract:
A system for discharging compressed air from a compressor includes a air distribution manifold that is in fluid communication with the compressor via a conduit and at least one discharge line that is in fluid communication with the air distribution manifold. The discharge line defines a flow path from the air distribution manifold to atmosphere. The discharge line comprises a coupling pipe that is coupled to the air distribution manifold, a sparger section that is disposed downstream from the coupling pipe and at least one restrictor plate that is disposed between the coupling pipe and the sparger section within the flow path. The restrictor plate comprises at least one aperture that provides a pressure drop of the compressed air between the air distribution manifold and the sparger section.

The present application provides a fuel conditioning system for delivering a flow of fuel to a nozzle in a gas turbine engine. The fuel conditioning system may include a fuel compressor to increase the pressure of the flow of fuel, a pressure reduction valve to decrease the pressure of the flow of fuel, and a heater downstream of the pressure reduction valve. The pressure reduction valve may include a rotary control valve.
Abstract:
A system includes a fluid distribution system. The fluid distribution system includes multiple spray rings disposed upstream of an inlet of a compressor. The multiple spray rings include a first spray ring disposed about an axis of the compressor in a first plane substantially perpendicular to the axis. The first spray ring includes a first set of nozzles disposed about the axis and configured to spray a first fluid flow toward the compressor inlet. The multiple spray rings further include a second spray ring disposed about the axis of the compressor in a second plane substantially perpendicular to the axis. The second spray ring includes a second set of nozzles disposed about the axis and configured to spray a second fluid flow toward the compressor inlet. The first plane is different than the second plane.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides methods and systems for using coatings to control component dimensions during operations of a mechanical system, such as gas turbine combustion air cooling system. The mechanical system may have a component with a critical dimension defined by at least one surface. Upon detecting a change in the critical dimension, such as from surface erosion, a coating additive is deployed into the mechanical system. The surface is coated with the coating additive to offset at least a portion of the change in the critical dimension.
