摘要： In a pressure sensor including a pressure detecting element in an intermediate portion or at a deep side of a through hole formed in a protrusion, a body portion (a base portion and the protrusion) is made of ceramic or an insulative resin material and molded into a predetermined shape, and the pressure sensor is constituted as a molded interconnect device in which a conductive pattern is formed on a surface thereof. Accordingly, a smaller pressure sensor can be obtained.

摘要： An ink cartridge contains an ink absorbent in an ink chamber, to absorb and hold ink by a capillary force. The ink absorbent has a cutout in its lower portion, to form a compartment without the ink absorbent. An ink detection zone is defined in the compartment, for an ink run-out sensor to detect the ink in the ink chamber. As the ink is consumed and the liquid surface of the ink goes down, an interface between the ink absorbent and the compartment enhances the resistance to the ink flowing from the ink absorbent toward the ink detection zone, so the ink is hindered from flowing into the ink detection zone, and the ink run-out sensor exactly detects that the liquid surface of the ink goes below the ink detection zone.

The battery includes: a spirally wound electrode body in which a cathode having a cathode active material layer on a strip-shaped cathode current collector and an anode having an anode active material layer on a strip-shaped anode current collector are layered with a separator in between, and spirally wound in a planular state; and a lead jointed to the cathode current collector or the anode current collector in a center portion of the spirally wound electrode body. An inner circumferential end of the cathode active material layer is provided in a region where the inner circumferential end does not overlap with the lead in a short axis direction of the spirally wound electrode body.

摘要： Data transfer during processor context switching is reduced, particularly in relation to a time-sharing microtasking programming model. Prior to switching context of a processor having local memory from a first to a second process, a portion of the local memory that does not require transfer to system memory for proper saving of data associated with the first process is determined. The context of the processor is then switched from the first to the second process, including transferring all of the local memory as the data associated with the first process, to system memory—except for the portion of the local memory that has been determined as not requiring saving to the system memory for proper saving of the data associated with the first process. Therefore, switching the context from the first to the second process results in a reduction of data transferred from the local memory to the system memory.

摘要： A hydraulic pump includes a housing, a seat portion, and a valve element. The housing has a compression chamber and a fluid passage. The seat portion is provided midway through the fluid passage. The valve element is located between the compression chamber and the fluid passage. The valve element is a closed-end cylindrical member having a bottom portion, a cylindrical portion, and an opening end arranged in this order. The cylindrical portion is located farther away from the seat portion than the bottom portion. The valve element is seated to the seat portion at the bottom portion. A stopper substantially closes the opening end when making contact with the opening end to regulate movement of the valve element.
