    摘要: An electron source device includes a porous layer (for example, porous alumina layer) which is composed of an insulator and has many microscopic holes provided in a direction perpendicular to a main surface, and first and second conductor layers placed on both sides of the porous layer, and is characterized in that the current density I/S is 1 μA/cm2 or higher when a direct-current voltage is applied between the second conductor layer and the fist conductor layer while using the second conductor layer as an anode. In this case, S represents the overlapping area of the first conductor layer, the second conductor layer and the porous layer. Consequently, an electron source device having a high electron emission ability and a long life even when the degree of vacuum is low can be obtained at low cost, and hence, a display having a high luminous efficiency and high reliability can be realized.

In order to collect data from many terminals to a center having a plurality of center service ports through a public network, terminal data are transmitted from the terminals to the center through the public network by carrying out a calling operation to call up the center at each terminal, and the terminal data received at the center service ports are collected together.     摘要: A load torque imposed on a take-up reel motor is estimated from the current in a take-up reel motor and the rotational speed of the take-up reel. The current value supplied to the take-up reel motor is adjusted on the basis of the estimated load torque. A tape feed rate detected is compared with a reference signal produced from a target tape speed signal. On the basis of the comparison result, the torque of the take-up reel motor is controlled in such a manner that the tape feed rate assumes a predetermined value. The gain of a speed control system for controlling the rotational speed of the take-up reel is adjusted on the basis of a detected period of tape speed.

If the extracted power spectrum includes a particular one of the standard power spectra as a result of comparing this spectrum with the standard power spectra, the operating conditions of that apparatus are stored in the memory with lapse of time. Thus, the life condition/rhythm of the private person can be checked by himself from the operating conditions of apparatus, and also transmitted as life information through the communication network to the outside institutes.
