摘要： A brushless DC motor minimizes a chance of dislocation of or damage to an insulator used in the brushless DC motor. Slant portions are provided at end portions of the insulator; therefore, even if a nozzle of a machine for installing a winding should hit the insulator while moving between teeth, the insulator moves in a direction for coming in close contact with a slot aperture, i.e., in a direction substantially at right angles to a direction in which the nozzle moves. This arrangement prevents the insulator from moving by being pushed by the nozzle, making it possible to minimize a chance of occurrence of an insulation failure caused by a damaged or dislocated insulator.

The flex detecting unit includes a member which is deformable in an amount corresponding to the amount of flex of the object, and the amount of flex of the object is detected based on a detected amount of deformation of the deformable member.

摘要： In an image forming apparatus including a pulse-width modulating unit for subjecting an image-density signal to pulse-width modulation and an image-forming unit for forming an image in accordance with a pulse-width modulation signal outputted by the pulse-width modulating unit, an arrangement is provided such that the image is formed with a small number of lines when the image density is a low density, while the image is formed with a large number of lines when the image density is a medium/high density. In an example of the arrangement thereof, the pulse-width modulating unit has a unit for effecting modulation on the basis of a plurality of different modulation periods, and is provided with a selecting unit for selecting a modulation period of a pulse-width modulated wave to be outputted, in accordance with the image-density signal.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to promote oil separation in a sealed container, thereby decreasing the amount of oil discharged to the outside of a compressor. The compressor comprises discharge hole provided at position facing the end surface of a rotor and through which a compressed refrigerant from first and second rotary compression elements is discharged into the sealed container; and a refrigerant flow path which is extended from a space surrounded with a coil end of a stator projecting from the end surface of the rotor to a rotary compression mechanism side to a space of an air gap between the rotor and the stator, to guide the compressed refrigerant discharged through the discharge hole to an electromotive element opposite to the rotary compression mechanism side. The outlet of this refrigerant flow path opposite to the rotary compression mechanism side faces the inner wall surface of the sealed container, and the volume of a space between the inner wall surface of the sealed container and the electromotive element is 1.5 times or more and 15 times or less that of a space between the rotary compression element and the electromotive element.

摘要： An object of the present invention is to promote oil separation in a sealed container, thereby decreasing the amount of oil discharged to the outside of a compressor.
