摘要: Disclosed is a sealed alkaline storage battery with an increased utilization of a positive electrode active material comprising a nickel oxide and with drastically enhanced capacity density. The positive electrode active material is a nickel based multi-metals oxide containing at least one element such as Mn which promotes the formation of .gamma. phase during charging. The ratio A.sub..gamma. /A.sub..beta. of the integrated intensity A.sub..gamma. of the diffraction peak at d=about 7 angstroms attributed to the .gamma. phase to the integrated intensity A.sub..gamma. of the diffraction peak at d=about 4.5 to 5.0 angstroms attributed to the .beta. phase of the oxide in the completely charged state is not smaller than 0.4. The electrolyte comprises an aqueous solution containing at least one of K.sup.+ and Na.sup.+ as a cationic component and the total concentration of the above-mentioned cationic component in the completely charged state is within a range between 4 and 12 mol/l.

摘要: A slit disk having a hole at a specified portion of its flat surface and a plurality of slits at regular intervals at a peripheral portion thereof is mounted to a shaft of an infusion pump. A controller clears a live band determination counter based on a light detection signal from a sensor when the hole is detected, and increments the count value of a live band determination counter when an side edge of one of the plurality of slit is detected. When the count value of the live band determination counter falls within "10" to "24" or "0" to "2", it is determined that the infusion pump is in a live band, and the count value of the live band counter is incremented. Thus an operation amount of the infusion pump in the live band is detected to measure a fluid delivery rate taking a dead band into account.

摘要: A sampling method for sampling an output emerging from a bubble detector used in an infusion device of a type including an resilient infusion tubing, a peristaltic pump including a plurality of juxtaposed finger members for sequentially squeezing a portion of the infusion tubing while producing at least one moving zone of occlusion along the infusion tubing for infusing a medical solution intravenouly, a stepper motor for driving the peristaltic pump. The sampling of an output from the bubble detector is carried out only during a first period from the timing at which a most upstream member of the finger members squeezes that portion of the infusion tubing to the timing at which a most downstream member of the finger members closest to the destination subsequently squeezes that portion of the infusion tubing, but not during a second period from the timing at which the most downstream finger member squeezes that portion of the infusion tubing to the timing at which the most upstream finger member squeezes that portion of the infusion tubing.

摘要: A display device for indicating the internal pressure of a tube of an infusion device having an infusion drive for supplying an infusion fluid from a solution container to the human body through the tube and a sensor for detecting the internal pressure of the tube. The display device includes a message indicator for displaying the internal pressure of the tube as detected by the sensor. The message indicator has a plurality of alphanumeric display elements each consisting of a plurality of segments. The display elements are used to display a value, in alphanumeric terms, of the internal pressure of the tube. Further, some of the segments of the display elements are used to display the quantitative change of the pressure as a bar graph.

摘要: Provided is a convenient leak detector which has high detection sensitivity and can quickly start a leak test after the start of vacuuming a test piece, without impairing the capabilities such as fast response to helium gas. The leak detector includes a mass spectrometer tube configured to detect a search gas and a turbo-molecule pump which has a plurality of stages rotors and stators alternately arranged in a housing, the rotors attached to a rotary shaft, and includes a drive source configured to rotationally drive the rotary shaft. An intake port communicating with a test piece TP and a connection port to which the mass spectrometer tube is connected are opened at positions away from each other in a wall surface of the housing, the wall surface facing a rotor of the uppermost stage.

摘要: A cooling module capable of reducing vibration in a compartment attributable to the discharge pulsation of the compressor is disclosed. The cooling module comprises a radiator (1) mounted to a vehicle for cooling the cooling water by heat exchange between the cooling water and the air, and a condenser (2) for condensing the refrigerant by heat exchange between the refrigerant circulated in the refrigeration cycle and the air. The radiator (1) is fixed to the vehicle, and the condenser (2) is fixed to the radiator (1) through elastically deformable rubber bushings (3).

摘要: In a ventilation duct of a cooling system, a level difference is formed between a wall located on a vehicle front side and a wall located on a vehicle rear side because a bottom end of the wall located on the vehicle front side is lower than a bottom end of the wall located on the vehicle rear side. The level difference makes a speed of a traveling wind flowing near an outlet faster than that flowing away from the outlet. Therefore, a pressure of the traveling wind flowing near the outlet decreases. As a result, air flows in the ventilation duct to be drawn to the neighborhood of the low-pressure outlet, and discharged out. Because cooling air including the traveling wind can be increased, heat radiation capacity of a radiator disposed in the ventilation duct is improved, and the cooling capacity of the cooling system can also be improved.
