    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an aerogel sheet according to the present invention includes: a step (a) of preparing a blanket having a plate shape; a step (b) of mixing silica sol with gelling catalyst to prepare a silica sol precursor; and a step (c) of injecting the silica sol precursor prepared in the step (b) to a surface of the blanket prepared in the step (a) through an injection device to gelate the silica sol precursor, wherein, in the step (c), the injection device injects the silica sol precursor while moving from one side to the other side of the surface of the blanket.

    Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing a hydrophobic silica aerogel by using a Soxhlet extraction, and a hydrophobic silica aerogel prepared by using the method. Since the preparation method according to the present invention may simultaneously perform washing and drying of a hydrophobic silica wet gel as well as solvent substitution and may remove an extraction solvent without an additional separation process, a hydrophobic silica aerogel having low tap density and high specific surface area may be easily prepared.

    Abstract: Provided is a method for producing hydrophobic silica aerogel granules and hydrophobic silica aerogel granules produced thereby, the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules having a suppressed level of specific surface area deterioration and scattering properties. In the method for producing the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules, surface modification, gelation, and solvent substitution can be simultaneously performed in one step, thereby decreasing production time and increasing productivity. Also, by adjusting the addition amount of a non-polar organic solvent when proceeding with a reaction, hydrophobic silica aerogel granules with suppressed scattering properties can be produced. In addition, the hydrophobic silica aerogel granules are silica aerogel particles induced to agglomerate with each other through physical bonding, so that there is an advantage in that the granules can be easily changed into a powder form, thereby having excellent industrial applicability.
