    Abstract: A visual inspection device includes a housing, a handle coupled to the housing that is grasped by a user while the device is in use, and an articulating camera unit coupled to the housing. The articulating camera unit includes a flexible cable with a first end coupled to the housing and a second end, a camera coupled to the second end of the flexible cable and operable to transmit image data through the flexible cable, and an articulation mechanism operable to articulate the camera relative to the flexible cable. The articulation mechanism includes a mount that is removably coupled to the housing. The articulating camera unit further includes a means for securing the mount to the housing in a plurality of different orientations relative to the housing. The visual inspection device further includes a display unit coupled to the housing to display an image transmitted by the articulating camera unit.

    Abstract: Systems and methods including a wireless device in communication with, controlling, and providing streaming media to a worksite audio device. The worksite audio device, such as a radio, includes a rugged structure enabling its use on construction sites. The worksite audio device is powerable via a power tool battery pack or AC source, and includes a charger circuit to charge an inserted power tool battery using power from the AC source. The worksite audio device is in communication with an external wireless device, such as a smart phone. The worksite audio device outputs to the smart phone battery status information, such as temperature and state of charge, as well as other information about the audio device. The smart phone displays the status information received from the audio device. Additionally, a user may control the audio device via a graphical user interface of the smart phone.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a wall scanner that includes a housing, a plurality of sensors, a display, and a control section. The housing includes a handle portion and a body portion. The handle portion is adapted to receive a removable and rechargeable battery pack such as a high-voltage lithium-ion (“Li-Ion”) battery pack. The body portion of the housing encloses the plurality of sensing devices, such as, for example, capacitive plate sensors for sensing the presence of a stud behind a surface, a D-coil sensor for identifying the presence of metal behind the surface, and a non-contact voltage sensor for detecting the presence of live wires carrying AC currents. The display is configured to display, among other things, the location of an object behind the surface in real-time, the depth of an object behind the surface, and whether an object behind the surface is ferrous or non-ferrous. The control section includes a plurality of actuation devices for controlling the functions and operations of the wall scanner, such as the scanning mode.
