    摘要: A rotary head type digital signal recording and/or reproducing apparatus wherein for 1/2 speed recording and/or reproducing from a magnetic tape, a tape feed speed is decreased to 1/2 times the normal speed, and a recording/reproducing interval becomes 2 times that of the normal mode of operation utilizing at least two rotary heads mounted at adjacent positions on a rotating cylinder with one of the rotary heads having a plus azimuth angle and the other having a minus azimuth angle. For 2 times speed recording/reproducing, a tape feed speed increases to 2 times the normal speed, and a recording/reproducing interval becomes 1/2 that of the normal mode of operation utilizing at least two rotary heads mounted on a rotating cylinder at opposite positions of a rotary axis of the cylinder, with one of the two rotary heads having a plus azimuth angle and the other having a minus azimuth angle.

    摘要: This invention relates to an error correction upon reproduction of digital signals. The error correction is performed by decoding code words such as cross-interleaved Reed Solomon codes, in which first code blocks are formed by a plurality of information words which are in the first arrangement state and a plurality of first check words which are produced by codes associated with the plurality of information words with a Hamming distance of d.sub.1, and second code blocks are formed by a plurality of information words and a plurality of first check words which are in the second arrangement state and which consist of the said plurality of information words and the said plurality of first check words which are respectively included in the different first code blocks, and by a plurality of second check words which are produced by codes associated with the plurality of information words and the plurality of first check words with a Hamming distance of d.sub.2. At the first decoding stage, errors are detected and at the same time the flags indicative of the decoding states are added with respect to the second code blocks. At the second decoding stage, in accordance with the contents of the flags and on the basis of a combination of p.sub.2 and q selected from their combinations satisfying 2p.sub.2 +q.ltoreq.d.sub.1 -1, errors are detected and errors of p.sub.2 words are corrected and erasures of q words to which the flags were added are corrected with respect to the first code blocks.

    摘要: A rotary-head PCM data recorder in which PCM signals of m in number, a synchronizing signal, control signals related to the PCM signals, and a parity signal for error detection and correction are formed into data blocks, and data blocks of n in number are recorded on one track of a magnetic tape. Among the control signals, bits of signals common to n data blocks (i.e., information needed once for each track) are formed in distributed data allocated in a group of consecutive blocks or tracks, and multiple block distributive control data are recorded on one track multiple number of times, or multiple track distributive control data are recorded along n block strings a multiple number of times. In reproduction, block or track distributive data are composed to reproduce the control signals. The recorder thus arranged reduces the bit number needed for the control signals and compensates dropout of reproduced data due to scratches on the tape and the like.

    摘要: A digital signal recording/reproducing apparatus capable of recording and reproducing digital signals having differences in respect to sampling frequency thereof and the number of quantization bits per sample by means of a common circuit arrangement includes means for varying revolution speed of rotating heads for recording and reproduction or traveling speed of a recording medium as a function of different sampling frequencies. A signal processing circuit for processing the digital signals so as to be suited for the recording on the recording medium is controlled by a clock signal of which frequency is changed in dependence on the different sampling frequencies. The signal processing circuit is arranged so that PCM data contained in a frame is constituted by a number of bits which is equal to a common multiple of the different quantization bit numbers and added with a common frame synchronizing signal and common error detection and correction codes to thereby prepare the PCM signal of the frame arrangement. The digital signals which differ in the sampling frequency and the quantization bit numbers can be recorded by same recording and reproducing apparatus with an improved efficiency with a same wavelength and in a same signal format.

    摘要: A PCM recording reproducing apparatus transforms the audio signal into PCM data for recording the signal as a PCM signal in the television signal format on the video tape used in VTR, and transforms the PCM signal reproduced in the VTR back into the audio signal. The PCM apparatus is provided with a sync signal detection protective circuit which ensure the detection of the sync signal in the reproduced PCM signal. The sync signal detection protective circuit selectively uses two kinds of time gate signals in consideration of skew noises and so on. When skew does not occur, the signal with a short gating duration is selected, and only when skew, dropout, jitter or the likes has occurred failing to sample the sync signal, the signal with a long gating duration is selected.

    摘要: An electrostatic chuck device is characterized in the provision of a ceramic layer, which serves as an adsorption surface, via an electricity insulating elastic layer, and an electrode that is formed between the ceramic layer and the electricity insulating elastic layer. The electricity insulating elastic layer consists of an adhesive that contains a rubber component and a phenol-type antioxidant. This electrostatic chuck device does not easily experience wear or deformation, and has extremely high durability. The electricity insulating elastic layer relieves stress caused by differences in coefficients of thermal expansion during heating, or by slight volume changes in the resin material. As a result, the stress applied on the ceramic layer can be reduced, making it possible to limit a reduction in the degree of flatness and the like.
