Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present application is directed to a method. The method includes performing at least one of, or a portion of one of, a vertebroplasty procedure, a kyphoplasty procedure, an electroencephalography (EEG) procedure and intraoperative electromyography (EMG) on a patient, and using an imaging system to image at least a portion of the patient during performance of at least a portion of this procedure), the imaging system being arranged on a robot including at least four, preferably six axes of rotation. In another embodiment of the present application, an x-ray system is disclosed. The x-ray system includes an imaging system including an x-ray source and an x-ray detector; a table; and at least two robots. The table is movable by the at least one robot and the at least one other robot includes at least four, preferably six axes of rotation and controls movement of the imaging system.
Abstract:
An apparatus with two pairs of X-ray systems is provided. Each of the X-ray systems has an X-ray source and an X-ray detector. The X-ray detectors differ from each other in their spatial resolution. The X-ray detector with the low spatial resolution makes it possible to record X-ray images in a faster temporal sequence than the other. The doctor carrying out the treatment thus has the option of deciding between the availability of a high spatial resolution and the recording of images in a rapid temporal sequence.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for performing a cutting-balloon intervention that includes a cutting-balloon catheter with an expandable balloon having axially arranged knives, with the cutting-balloon catheter having a pre-mounted stent.
Abstract:
A catheter for removing plaque in a blood vessel and a medical apparatus having a catheter of this kind are proposed. The catheter has a catheter sheath, a cutter for removing plaque disposed in the region of the distal end of the catheter sheath, a catheter tip disposed in the region of the distal end of the catheter sheath and bendable relative to the catheter sheath, and at least one imaging sensor arranged in the region of the distal end of the catheter sheath or in the bendable catheter tip. The image signals recorded by the catheter are transmitted for display purposes to an image processing and playback device. A method for assisting a minimally invasive intervention to remove plaque in a blood vessel by the catheter is also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a blood pump and a medical apparatus having a blood pump, which is provided for insertion into the heart of a patient. The blood pump has at least one imaging sensor disposed in the region of the distal end of the blood pump to obtain imaging information in a blood vessel or in the heart. The invention also relates to a method for assisting the positioning of a blood pump in the heart of a patient, wherein image information is recorded inside the body of the patient using the at least one imaging sensor of the blood pump and transmitted in real time to an image processing and playback facility disposed outside the body of the patient for display purposes.
Abstract:
Device for implementing endovascular brachytherapy, whereby in the region of the catheter tip, a beta or gamma radiator used to prevent restenosis after the removal of plaque from vessel walls emits radioactive radiation in order to suppress the structural vessel alteration, with simultaneous OCT-monitoring, whereby a brachytherapy is combined with an OCT catheter in an integrated unit.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a catheter device for treating a blockage of a vessel, with the catheter device featuring a treatment catheter for treating the vessel blockage which is embodied as an integrated unit with front-mounted stent.
Abstract:
A medical examination device for CT imaging and for nuclear medical imaging is provided. The medical examination device has an essentially ring-shaped gantry with a CT imaging arrangement and a nuclear medical imaging arrangement. The gantry has an especially laterally arranged, fold-out or removable segment for creating an access opening to the interior of the gantry.

Abstract:
There is described a medical examination and/or treatment apparatus with an electromagnet for generating a magnetic field for navigating a medical instrument and an x-ray device having an x-ray source and an x-ray detector attached to a bracket for visual control during the navigation, with the x-ray source and the x-ray detector being arranged on the electromagnet embodied as a hollow cylinder, on the front ends of which are located two ring coils which are arranged in parallel, between which a number of saddle coils arranged in the peripheral direction are arranged, with the hollow cylinder being arranged on a bracket which can be moved about a number of axes.
