Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). Embodiments herein disclose methods for managing an on-boarding procedure in a wireless communication network. The method includes triggering, by a User Equipment (UE), a registration request for an on-boarding procedure to a network entity. Further, the method includes receiving, by the UE, a Non-access stratum (NAS) message comprising at least one information from the network entity based on the registration request. Further, the method includes performing, by the UE, at least one action based on the at least one received information. Further, the method includes managing, by the UE, the on-boarding procedure in the wireless communication network based on the at least one action.

Abstract: A method for performing mobility-measurements in new radio (NR) based 3GPP mobile communication network is provided. The method includes receiving network information with respect to a geographical area from one or more user equipments (UEs) operating in geographical area for a predefined duration of time. The received network information is classified at various time-instants during the predefined duration of time as at least one of an NR spectrum availability and NR spectrum non-availability. An overall probability of availability of the NR spectrum within the area is calculated for a time-instant subsequent to the predefined duration of time based on the classified network information. The UE is enabled for scheduling NR measurements within the area based on the calculated probability.

Abstract: A method for handling a service connection in a wireless communication system, including detecting, by a User Equipment (UE), a Mobility Management (MM) service state of the UE is set to ATTEMPTING TO UPDATE, receiving, by the UE, a valid Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity (TMSI) in a TMSI reallocation procedure from a base station via a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection, changing, by the UE, the MM service state to a NORMAL SERVICE state in response to the receiving a valid TMSI and the detecting a MM service state, and sending, by the UE, a paging response message to the base station in response to the changing the MM service state and a paging indication message received from the base station to establish the service connection, the paging indication message including the valid TMSI.
