Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for reporting channel status by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system. Information on at least one channel status information reference signal is received from an evolved node B. A first channel status based on a first period and a first set of the at least one channel status information reference signal, is reported to the evolved node B. A second channel status based on a second period and a second set of the at least one channel status information reference signal, is reported to the evolved node B. The first channel status includes at least one of a precoding matrix indicator (PMI), a channel quality indicator (CQI), and a ranking indication (RI), and the second channel status includes at least one of a CQI, a PMI and a RI. The RI of the second channel status is same as the RI of the first channel status
Abstract:
A method and a device for measuring interference in a communication system are provided. The method includes measuring interference in a base station of a communication system, in which one or more antenna groups are arranged at different positions in a single cell, includes the steps of determining a reception antenna group which is one of the one or more antenna groups that transmits a signal other than an interference signal to a terminal, determining a reference signal in order to measure the strength of the signal transmitted by the reception antenna group, a step of determining a wireless resource so as to measure the interference in each of the one or more antenna groups, and notifying the terminal with the strength of the signal transmitted by the reception antenna group and information for measuring the interference in each of the one or more antenna groups.
Abstract:
A method of decoding a reception signal having an interference signal included therein by User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving the reception signal having the interference signal included therein, identifying at least one of transmission parameters for the interference signal, identifying a modulation scheme of the interference signal and reception strength of the interference signal using the identified transmission parameter, removing the interference signal from the reception signal based on the identified modulation scheme and the identified reception strength of the interference signal, and decoding the reception signal from which the interference signal is removed.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for feeding a channel back in a wireless communication system using multiple input multiple output antennas (MIMO) are provided. The method includes receiving a signal from a transmitter and configuring a channel matrix for the received signal, configuring a basis transformed sparse channel using a sparsifying basis function with respect to the channel matrix, selecting a channel part to be fed back to the transmitter from the transformed sparse channel, and creating a codebook by quantizing the selected channel part, and feeding a codebook index corresponding to the created codebook back to the transmitter.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for performing communication by a UE in a mobile communication system. A speed of the UE is measured by using an acceleration sensor in the UE. The UE determines that a change of the measured speed is detected in accordance with a predetermined criteria. The UE transmits information about the measured speed to a serving base station if the change of the measured speed is detected. Information about a target cell determined by the serving base station based on the measured speed is received from the serving base station. A handover procedure to the target cell is performed in response to receiving the information about the target cell.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a feedback signal in a mobile communication system are provided, in which a User Equipment (UE) receives information about at least one Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) and information about at least one Interference Measurement Resource (IMR), determines at least one feedback signal to be transmitted from among a plurality of feedback signals available according to the information about the at least one CSI-RS and the information about the at least one IMR, generates the determined at least one feedback signal, and transmits the generated at least one feedback signal. The at least one feedback signal to be transmitted is determined based on bitmap information received from a central control device, and the bitmap information includes information indicating that at least one feedback signal desired to receive by the central control device.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving downlink data channel signal transmission information in a cellular radio communication system using a Cooperative Multi-Point (COMP) scheme are provided. In the downlink data channel signal transmission information transmission method, a Base Station (BS) transmits downlink data channel signal transmission information including information related to Resource Elements (REs) scheduled for a downlink data channel signal transmission to a User Equipment (UE), and transmits downlink data channel signal non-transmission information including information related to REs through which a downlink data channel signal is not transmitted among the REs scheduled for the downlink data channel signal transmission to the UE.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving reference signal transmission information in a cellular radio communication system using a Cooperative Multi-Point (CoMP) scheme is provided. In the reference signal transmission information transmission method, a Central Control Apparatus (CCA) transmits measurement set information related to a measurement set including at least one reference signal resource unit through which a reference signal is transmitted, and reference signal transmission timing information including information related to a timing at which the reference signal is transmitted to a User Equipment (UE), and transmits reference signal non-transmission timing information including information related to a timing at which the reference signal is not transmitted through the reference signal resource unit to the UE.
