摘要: The present invention provides a wet friction member exhibiting excellent dynamic friction performance and a carbon fiber composite material for manufacturing the wet friction member. A carbon fiber composite material 10 of the present invention contains carbon fibers 11 and a matrix 12 joining the carbon fibers 11 with each other, and the matrix has fine pores having diameters of 3.5 nm to 100 nm. Since the fine pores having diameters of a nanometer (nm) order is formed in the matrix 12 of the carbon fiber composite material 10, the specific surface area of the carbon fiber composite material 10 is increased. As a result, a wet friction member made of the carbon fiber composite material 10 has an improved dynamic friction performance.

摘要: Respective operation mode histories are stored in the main body NVM of an image forming device. The main body NVM stores an operation mode just before the turning-off of the power supply. When the power supply of the image forming device is turned on, a CPU discriminates whether a replacement unit having been attached is a genuine type or one other than the genuine type. When an operation mode just before the turning-off of the power supply differs from an operation mode corresponding to the replacement unit having been attached, such a fact is displayed on a UI device. When a user confirms the display on the UI device, the image forming device is controlled by the operation mode corresponding to the replacement unit.

摘要: A weight and form sensing apparatus according to the present invention provides weight sensors on a base, in matrix pattern for instance. Each weight sensor has a load receiving portion on a top. Weight and form can be sensed by single weight and form sensing apparatus according to the present invention. That is, output values of the weight sensors are summed, so that an article put on the weight sensors can be detected. Also, the existence of the load on each weight sensor is determined based on output signal of each weight sensor, so that the bottom form and size of the article can be identified. The weight and form sensing apparatus according to the present invention can be preferably arranged into a feeding stream of the article because an arrangement of the sensors for identifying the form and size of the article does not interfere an arrangement of the feeding mechanism for the article.

摘要: An image forming apparatus is equipped with a document reading device for reading image data on a document at a reading section; a memory to store the image data therein, the memory capable of storing the image data of plural pages of documents; and an image recording system for recording an image on a recording sheet based on the image data stored in the memory. A recording sheet reversing system receives the recording sheet from the image recording system, wherein the image is recorded on one side of the recording sheet, reverses the recording sheet, and refeeds the reversed recording sheet to the image recording system without stacking the recording sheet, whereby another image is recorded on the other side of the recording sheet by the image recording system. A controller controls the document reading device and the image recording system such that, when images are recorded on both sides of a recording sheet by the recording sheet reversing system, after image data of a predetermined number of pages of documents are read by the image recording system and are stored in the memory, the image recording system starts recording images based on the image data stored in the memory simultaneously as the document reading device successively reads other pages of documents.

The system setup includes setup of analysis units in combination with different types of reagent supply units, setup of analysis routes as to whether it is a stationary type or an automatic type, and setup of analysis items for each analysis unit as to which analysis item should be assigned to which analysis unit having which reagent supply type. These settings are executed through monitoring of setup screens displayed on a screen display unit, and the contents of such a setting are stored and registered in a memory of the controller.

摘要: A method of memory-driving a DC gaseous discharge panel and circuitry therefor are disclosed. To generate a write discharge on a desired display cell, while a scan pulse Pscn having a pulse width of .tau.scn is applied to a cathode associated with the cell, a display anode is held in its high level or ON level. To prevent the write discharge from being formed, while the scan pulse Pscn is applied to the cathode, a non-write pulse Pnw having a pulse width of .tau.nw is applied to the display anode. The pulse width .tau.nw is selected such that the duration of the pulse Pnw (.tau.scn-.tau.nw) is shorter than the statistic time lag of the start of a discharge at which a discharge cell generating a write discharge first appears. For a sustain discharge following the write discharge, sustain pulses Psus are applied to the cathode after the scan pulse Pscn for a predetermined period of time such that they do not coincide with the non-write pulses as to the timing. As a result, stable discharge and therefore high quality display is insured even when the scanning period must be reduced in order to, e.g., enlarge a screen.
