摘要: An intake temperature sensor capable of precisely detecting the temperature of intake at high speed even in a low air mass flow zone is provided. In an intake temperature sensor having a temperature detecting element 6 inserted in an opening provided in an intake pipe 3 to be disposed in the intake pipe, a temperature detecting element is mechanically joined with a heat sink 4 directly exposed to the flow of the intake flowing in the intake pipe, and the temperature of the intake is output based on an output obtained from the temperature detecting element. Thus, the thermal resistance of the temperature detecting element with respect to the intake flow can be reduced; therefore, the intake temperature sensor capable of precisely detecting the temperature of the intake at high speed even in the low air mass flow zone can be provided.

摘要: A simply configured thermal flowmeter can provide high measurement accuracy over a long period of time by suppressing the characteristics degradation due to adhering contaminants. On the surface of a diaphragm part, a heater resistor is formed. Temperature difference sensors through are disposed on the two sides of the heater resistor (upstream and downstream sides in the flow direction of an air stream). The temperature difference sensors are disposed upstream of the heater resistor while the temperature difference sensors are disposed downstream of the heater resistor. Outside the temperature difference sensors, heating temperature sensors are formed. Control is performed so that the temperature of the heating temperature sensors is set higher than the air stream temperature by a certain degree. Therefore, even if contaminants adhere to the sensor device, the temperature of the heating temperature sensors is held constant. Since the temperature difference sensors to detect the flow rate is located between the heating temperature sensors, the temperature change due to the contamination is small. This suppresses the characteristics degradation, making it possible to provide high measurement accuracy over a long period of time.

摘要: Provided is a high-precision, mechanically robust thermal humidity sensor. A detecting element 1 of the thermal humidity sensor of the present invention has a diaphragm (a bridge structure) 2 formed on a planar substrate which is formed from a material with high thermal conductivity such as silicon or ceramic. Formed on the diaphragm 2 are temperature detecting resistors 4, 5, 6, and 7 and a heating resistor 3 arranged in a manner surrounding the temperature detecting resistors. Humidity is detected based on the outputs of the temperature detecting resistors 4, 5, 6, and 7. Accordingly, humidity measurement errors that can possibly occur due to the leakage of heat through the diaphragm 2 to the planar substrate can be reduced.

A resistor is positioned between an output terminal of an error amplifier and a base terminal of the transistor to provide reverse connection protection. Another resistor is connected between a ground and a connection point between the above resistor and the output terminal to provide overvoltage protection for the integrated circuit. A starting resistor is connected between a collector and base of the transistor.

A detection element of the thermal type flow rate measuring apparatus includes a planar substrate made of silicon, ceramic, or the like, in which a diaphragm is formed. On the surface of the diaphragm, there are disposed a heat-generating resistor as a heat-generating element that is heated to a predetermined temperature difference from the temperature of air flow to be measured, a heat-generating element temperature-detecting resistor for detecting the temperature of the heat-generating resistor, and temperature-detecting resistors disposed on both sides of the heat-generating resistor. 摘要: A master unit sends a start signal to a slave unit. When receiving the start signal from the master unit, the slave unit sends, to the master unit, a synchronization field that is a data train (pulse signal) indicative of a transfer clock with which the slave unit is able to perform transferring and receiving operations. The master unit sends, to the slave unit, command data in accordance with the transfer clock indicated by the synchronization field sent from the slave unit. In response to the command data sent from the master unit, the slave unit sends, to the master unit, response data in accordance with the transfer clock indicated by the synchronization field. Thus, in a communication system employing a serial data transferring apparatus of the present invention, the master unit establishes the synchronization for the data transfer, while the slave unit is free from a burden of establishing the synchronization for the data transfer. A serial data transferring apparatus is realized which can simplify the structure of the slave unit, cut the total cost, and reduce noise.

摘要: An apparatus for diagnosing the characteristic of an acceleration sensor and a method for diagnosis thereof are disclosed. The acceleration sensor includes a movable electrode (or mass part) displaced in accordance with an acceleration and a fixed electrode disposed opposite to the movable electrode. In a diagnosis mode, a signal for diagnosis is applied to the fixed electrode so that an electrostatic force as a force corresponding to a predetermined acceleration is generated between the fixed electrode and the movable electrode. In the case where the acceleration sensor is sound, the movable electrode or mass part is normally displaced. A failure of the acceleration sensor, the deterioration thereof in performance, a change in characteristic thereof caused from the lapse of time, or the like is self-diagnosed by detecting a change in capacitance between the movable electrode and the fixed electrode upon generation of the diagnosis signal. The force corresponding to the predetermined acceleration may be an electromagnetic force or a mechanical oscillation based on a piezoelectric element.

The circuit unit includes a signal processing part, a state deciding part, and a controller. The controller controls an amount of change that a change of the first signal imparts to the third signal in accordance with a result of decision by the state deciding part that determines that the state of the first signal is not within the predetermined range.
