According to the present invention, the resistance value of the metal components of the conductor is reduced, with the result that the poser loss of a gas discharge display device due to a high resistance value can be prevented, and that the process can be reliably carried out.

    摘要: An apparatus of driving a liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a gray voltage generator generating a range of gray voltages that correspond to different LC light transmittance levels. These gray voltages, along with image data, are fed into a data driver. The data driver converts the gray voltages to a data voltage that properly generates the image indicated by the image data. The gray voltage values are chosen from a wider range of values than the pixel voltages, and this conversion may include determining a conversion factor based on the relative range sizes. This conversion may also include calculating the voltage difference between the previous data and the current data and adjusting the data voltage according to the magnitude of this difference. Generally, the larger the voltage difference, the larger is the data voltage magnitude that is needed to bring the pixel voltage to the target voltage within limited time.

The gray voltage generator includes first and second registers for storing the digital data, a selector including a plurality of multiplexers for receiving the outputs of the first and second registers, and a converter including a plurality of digital-analog converters connected to the multiplexers. As described above, the gray voltage generator is provided in the form of a chip so that it is possible to reduce the area occupied on a printed circuit board (PCB) and to reduce the cost of the gray voltage generator.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a digital data transceiver circuit applicable to a flat panel display such as an LCD to be placed between graphic signal generation module and liquid crystal display module or between timing control IC and data driver IC, etc. A digital data transceiver circuit of the present invention has a first current source and a second current source, and the second current source is controlled to supply a current or not depending on the status of the lower bit of input data. A transmitter is connected to a node, on which the first and second current sources combine, and the transmission paths of currents from the two current sources are determined depending on the status of the upper bit of input data. A signal of the transmitter is transmitted through a transmission line, and a termination resistor is connected to the transmission line. A receiver detects output data according to a voltage applied to the termination resistor. The digital data transceiver circuit of the present invention can transmit 2-bit or 3-bit data during one clock period, and it is resistible to the noise better than the voltage transmission method and effective to long distance transmission.
