Abstract:
The invention is directed to a modified male sexual ring. The ring is intended to fit over the shaft of the penis. The ring is of uniform diameter over the rear half of its length, and tapers gently over the front half of its length to a narrow front end. The ring provides one or more ridges within the interior surface at the rear end to secure a condom, such that the condom may be quickly applied and securely affixed to the ring without slipping off. All edges of the ring are gently rounded to provide maximum comfort.
Abstract:
A specially designed networking website, through which statistical information regarding high school and collegiate athletes can be stored and accessed by an interactive database that also serves to showcase athletes who may otherwise be overlooked by recruiters.
Abstract:
Fluid connector assembly and methods usable to establish a sealed fluid connection. The connector assembly comprises a female union connector having an axial bore extending therethrough, internal threads, and an internal shoulder. The connector assembly also comprises two male connectors, each male connector having an axial bore extending therethrough and external threads. The connector assembly further comprises two ring-shaped seals adapted to form a fluid seal between the female union and the male connectors. The first seal contacts the first side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the first male connector to form a fluid seal therebetween. The second seal contacts the second side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the second male connector to form a second fluid seal therebetween.
Abstract:
An example system includes a remote control and a host device. The remote control is configured to communication through a first communication interface and a second communication interface. The host device is configured to retrieve command information from a remote computer through a third communication interface, and responsive to one or more requests from the remote control, to transfer the command information to the remote control through the first communication interface, the remote control configured to control a plurality of remote devices through the second communication interface, using the command information.
Abstract:
We describe an apparatus including a plurality of sensing elements, a conductive layer, and a compressive layer interposed between the plurality of sensing elements and the conductive layer. The conductive layer can include a plurality of segments. A user applies a force to an actuator positioned over the conductive layer. The actuator changes a capacitance of at least one capacitor formed by at least one of the plurality of sensing elements, the conductive layer (at least one segment), and the compressive layer by reducing the distance between the at least one of the plurality of sensing elements and the conductive layer responsive to the applied force. The device measures and calculates a magnitude and direction of the force by measuring the change in the capacitance.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for performing operations on a well include first and second flow control devices positioned between upper and lower sections of a conduit. An upper connector assembly engaged with the upper section includes connectors adapted for connection to a chemical stimulation device, a blowout preventer, or other well intervention apparatuses. A lower connector assembly engaged with the lower section includes connectors adapted for connection to a chemical stimulation device, a running tool, wellbore conduits, or other well intervention apparatuses. The two connector assemblies, above and below the flow control devices, enable sequential or simultaneous operations to be performed, and can enable operations to be performed independent of the state of the flow control devices.
Abstract:
Subsea power sources and related systems include a housing having at least one first magnetic member, an internal member having at least one second magnetic member, and at least one elastic member positioned in the housing. Movement of the one or more second magnetic members relative to the one or more first magnetic members, which can be obtained by positioning the power source in a subsea environment such that forces therein contact and move the housing or internal member, produces an electromagnetic output for powering a subsea object. Contact between the internal member and one or more elastic members causes the one or more elastic members to impart a force to the internal member to facilitate continued movement and power generation. Power generated in this manner or through other means is usable to operate a subsea kill plant, usable to kill a well or operate a subsea blowout preventer.
Abstract:
A bed frame and cover that is capably joinable to another bed frame and cover and capably disjoinable from another bed frame and cover and of which comprises a mattress supporting plate which is capable of moving vertically within the cover. The cover is a unified structure of walls and a roof with pivotally connected doors that capably form an enclosure around the plate or of which are stowable on the roof. The entire cover is capable of 360 degree bi-directional rotation around the entire plate as well as vertical movement. A capably pivotable mattress attachment is stowable under the plate or extends to form a contiguous mattress surface of which is supported by rods that connect to another bed frame and cover. The bed frame and cover is capable of a multitude of configurations dependent on bed frame, mattress attachment and the cover's optional positioning.
Abstract:
A wagering game is played on processor-based gaming apparatus including: providing a gaming apparatus of processor, video display and gaming input system; after a wager, the processor executes code to play a first wagering game and display images associated with the first wagering game on the video display; when the processor recognizes a predefined trigger outcome, bonus play of a second game different from the first wagering game begins; the processor identifies bonus points accumulated during bonus play distinct from any wagering credits; the processor displays at least two distinct bonus events of a first bonus event played on the first wagering game and a second bonus event played on the first wagering game. The first bonus event and the second bonus event being activated by the processor diminishing accumulated bonus points. An amount of bonus points needed to activate the first bonus event is different from an amount of points needed to activate the second bonus event.
