    摘要: A method of conducting secure electronic payments to a payment acquirer using a credit card payment unit, comprising of a smart card, a portable card reader device, a mobile phone, a stand-alone PIN entry device and a payment server. The method is based on eliminating the unsecure keyboard in a mobile phone used for entering personal identification information, and instead use a separate secure PIN entry device which fulfills the EMV Level specification. Since all sensitive payment information, communicated to the payment server from the card reader and the PIN entry device, is encrypted using unique encryption keys an unsecure mobile phone may be used for relaying the communication between the card reader device and the PIN entry device to and from the payment server.

    摘要: A method of generating a first oscillator signal having a desired frequency in a first frequency range comprises generating in a voltage controlled oscillator unit a second oscillator signal having a frequency in a second frequency range of at least one octave. The method further comprises selecting said second continuous frequency range to have a lower endpoint in said first frequency range and an upper endpoint above said range; and selectively using the oscillator signal unchanged or dividing it by a division ratio selected from integer powers of the number 2 to obtain said first oscillator signal. By centering the VCO higher than otherwise required and using an additional divider, so that the VCO signal can selectively be used unchanged or divided, a sufficient margin below as well as above the desired range for e.g. drift and tolerances of the VCO is achieved. It also simplifies the VCO design.

    摘要: A frequency conversion receiver comprises a passive mixer, a Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) and a balun. The low-noise amplifier generates an amplified single-ended signal responsive to a single-ended receiver input signal. The passive mixer generates a mixer output signal responsive to a differential mixer input signal and a four-phase local oscillator signal. The balun transforms the amplified singled-ended signal into the differential mixer input signal, the balun having a first winding coupled to an output of the low-noise amplifier and a second winding coupled to an input of the passive mixer, the second winding having more turns than the first winding. The turn ratio of the second winding to the first winding provides gain compensation to the low-noise amplifier, and in conjunction with the low-noise amplifier and the passive mixer, provides a desired gain to the receiver and linearity over a dynamic range of the receiver input signal.
